Yeah, but that was his opportunity to bash. Good for the guy he gets to go home. It is comical how big the melt is for someone that will probably barely be missed. Jesus. But, it does give the bitching and moaning crew an opportunity to go full retard. I'm sure they will take it.

bu bbu buttt so many people on here told me that was not going to happen.

Saban to Bama? LSU fans laughed
Chavis to A&M? No way it could happen
Jimbo to A&M? nahhhh no way in hell

You bring quite literally nothing to this board. Weak alter is weak.

It really is as simple as that.

Of course. But are we not allowed to be disappointed that a big piece of our puzzle is leaving? Of course O may find a great replacement for him. But are we not allowed to discuss this occurrence or express our displeasure with it?
You can do whatever you like, I’m talking about the people using this move as a way to down O, Alleva, King, etc. as some sort of money-saving move or refusing to pay the guy.
He was offered a bonus, but wanted to return home, it is what it is. No sense crying over something that we knew was coming.

Do you not realize how much Austin does in the film room? Do you not remember how pivotal he was stepping in for Pete last year? You clearly don't follow recruiting and don't know shite.

He decided to go back home. The $ wouldn't keep him.

I submitted my resume boys.....went the Tom Brady route....Told O he doesn't know me yet but I will be the greatest thing for LSU football since Saban.

"Thoma as 'extremely talented and detail-oriented' and says Thomas has 'played a big role in our recruiting success.'"

At LSU, Thomas has thrived. In his first full recruiting cycle, he helped LSU secure the No. 2 class in the country, including the nation’s top-ranked player, Leonard Fournette. That work earned Thomas a nomination as FootballScoop’s Director of Player Personnel of the Year.
Not a bad debut.
“Austin’s really made an impact,” said Jimmy Smith, NOLA.com’s high school football recruiting analyst who has years of experience in the scouting business. “And it’s behind the scenes. You don’t get to hear about him too much, because not many people know what goes on behind the scenes, and Austin Thomas is one of the key pieces to keeping everything together for LSU.”
yeah, barely be missed.
do you enjoy looking stupid, or are you too stupid to realize how stupid you look when you make posts like that?

If the wheels fall off because we lost a non-coach then the regime was crap to begin with.

he turned down several front office jobs in 2017 to stay in College.
I'm aware of this. What level were the jobs? I think they were scouting department jobs. NFL scouts make $50-$100k.
According to this board, he was making at least $125k at LSU. Maybe he wasn't in a position financially at the time to take that big of a paycut. He does have a young family, you know. Maybe he feels if he goes to UT he can get a higher paying NFL job when he decides to jump.

Per Shea, LSU matched and then raised UTks offer. So as much as I hate Alleva, this was Thomas wanting to go home.

I don't even care about this...
