The question is how long will Biblona go? UCI fans have said their bullpen is shite. Since he hasn't pitched in a month, will he be restricted to 5 innings or so?

Not sure about that since it was not an ARM injury.

The guy is a stud! I was about to complain about him being Big West Pitcher of the year over Noe Ramirez, but looking at the stats he was slightly better.

9-2, 2.10 ERA, 90 IP, 100ks, 15BBs and a .208 B/AVG

Noe's # were similar

10-1, 2.5 ERA, 90 IP, 95ks, 16BBs and a .225 B/AVG

Wasn't Ranaudo's his nonthrowing arm?

Bibona had a ribcage injury and thus it may limit his endurance. I would definitely be looking to see a LOT of pitches early. Get his pitch count up!

Very glad to see this. LSU needs to throw a pitcher who is consistently in the strike zone. I love Ranaudo but Irvine would make him throw 50 pitches by the 3rd inning.

I say give the ball to Bradshaw vs Kent St n an elimination game.

Kent has pitching too.

After thinking about it, I think this is the right decision no matter what happens this weekend.

I really like Ranaudo potentially going against UCLA.

Also, if we lose to UC Irvine, you have to try and beat Kent State without Ranaudo. You're not winning that tournament wasting Ranaudo on the Flashes (or whatever they are) in the loser's bracket.

You don't start him against Kent St., but certainly bring him in relief is necessary. It's
a pretty good bet that we'll put enough runs on the board to not have to use him.

Smart smart choice

UCI is really good at getting on base, taking pitches and getting walks....maybe tops in the country

this is certainly more favorable for the type of pitcher Ross is as opposed to Ranaudo
