I’m an engineer, and I have no idea what this means.

Clearly you have left out something, or should I believe that only 2 high school seniors have ever made an nfl roster? And half a senior has made an nba roster?

Is this supposed to be 2 out of a thousand hs senior football players?

They make like 2K a month and that’s only for during the season

That’s the 1st year minimum. Minor league players also go into free agency and can then sign for more money. I’ve known guys making $30k+ Per season as career minor leaguers.

Again, they’re not set for life, but $30k for 6 months isn’t a terrible deal.

Yes, it is. Especially when you consider that if you're to have any chance of making it you have to work on your game the other six months.

Its not good, especially for 27 year olds that want to start families and whatnot. You can pretty easily get a regular job making more, which is why so many quit after 3-4 years in the minors.

Kramer is at AAA Memphis now. How cool will it be if he makes the jump to the MLB to have four LSU shortstops in a row in the bigs at the same time?

Work half a year, get paid over half the US average household income. It's not terrible. This isn't even factoring in that the average salary in AAA is about $80,000.
