If by saying his dad played a part in getting CBK hired you mean he helped make the mess we have in the Ops building that made it necessary to hire a two new coaches in the last 5 years then yes... you are correct.

He can go where he wants to go; good luck to him.

Verge steered this kid to a divisional rival. Verge didn't let this kid make the choice, he led him there. An ex-player who is employed by LSU?

lol what are you basing this off of?

We may rationalize this but the optics are horrible.

the optics for who? Do you think it will make national news that an LSU employees kid went to another SEC school? Do y'all not know this kid was a 3 star middling corner back recruit who we didn't recruit all that hard, if at all, until about 5 days ago?

But at least if he was accused of committing sexual assault here his dad could cover it up for him.

Maybe this means we are finally getting rid of verge. If so, not a bad trade off

AU is a dumpster fire currently. There are 4 win seasons in their future until they hire a decent coach.

Now this just cannot be true!

Not everyone wants to stay in the same 5 square miles they grew up in for the rest of their life. Seeing that Verge has been working at LSU for 17+ years, I'd venture to bet Austin has been going to the Lab school his entire life as well. It's basically 13th grade for him. It shouldnt be hard to fathom a kid being burnt out and wanting something fresh.

I would have been shocked if he went to LSU especially with how little the fans like his dad and how the future of Verge's employment at LSU is muddy.

Maybe it’s time someone else gets fired that was involved in the cover ups

Honestly I just think he wanted to leave for college and I understand that.

That being said, why TF did he go to Aubie? LSU tiger bait.

Losing Raymond is going to have this kind of impact this year. It’s short term though.

I'm not sure why you're getting downvoted for this, but I agree, plus the coaching staff is not in place for next year. A lot of transition is going on right now, but it should settle next year.

what does this say about the LSU program?

I mean, there's a new coach and a lot of transition is going on right now... what do you expect? The coaching staff for 2022 isn't in place yet.

It's amazing some people on here think they are entitled to this information and that it should make sense to them as well.
It's even more amazing you weren't able to get the gist of the comment. The concern isn't about the player. The concern is about LSU.

It tells me that the kid and most likely his 5 star brother were not brought up to Love LSU. that is enough for the father to be sent down the road. maybe he loves Auburn more. This is ridiculous.

Why? This is a silly take.
