...getting his ego hurt when his coach declined an interview with him.

See how this works?

I feel like the outcome of the game had nothing to do with their AD

The person implicated in the Auburn "scandal" was fired.

I'm pretty sure the point is that their AD didn't suspend their coach.

As if anyone believes the person "implicated" didn't take direct orders from the head coach. The head coach was asked to interview about this situation, and he declined. Yet, you don't see him suspended.

I don't think Pearl was the one being investigated or on a wiretap.

Yea, but ours did, and we're still winning games...

One of Pearls assistants was charged and found guilty in the investigation. You think Pearl had no idea what was going on?

Do you think Pearl was given a 5 year NCAA ban from coaching for recruiting violations while at another SEC school? Did Sankey disapprove when Auburn hired him? I mean, Sankey sure did give ol’ Joe the backslap he was looking for when he suspended Wade.

The person "implicated in the Auburn scandal" was arrested by the FBI for committing crimes. His head coach, known for cheating, is obviously an innocent bystander.

Will Wade is not being investigated either. But just as LSU and the media are assuming guilt on indirect language, with no paper trail to confirm any offer, Auburn could just as easily assume that Pearl must have known about his assistant's dealings with recruits. Apparently, they must have been curious of just exactly that, if they wanted to question him.

And considering that Pearl declined to speak to them, couldn't Auburn have reacted as so many have toward Wade, and said "well if he won't talk to us, he must be hiding something" and suspended him?

This isn't complicated to see the connection between the two coaches, and how differently the two schools handled it.

I thought the narrative was that Wade is suspended for not talking to his admins?

You know, the same thing Bruce Pearl’s not suspended for?

In dominant fashion, and against powerhouses, as well right?

C'mon, man. I'm not taking anything away from LSU, but we are better with our head coach, and the OP specifically stated that Auburn "slapped around a Blueblood".

I hope LSU can find a way to keep winning. The players are good enough. Is Benford going to outsmart Izzo? Not likely. But if LSU plays up to their ability, they can overcome some schematic issues. Hopefully, anyway. The road gets a lot tougher, from here on out.

The Auburn scandal was not one person... no one believes that. Person also got caught paying and receiving cash.

If pearl would have been on a wiretap, he would be fired! You are comparing two different situations. Wade is on a wiretap. Pearl’s assistant was implicated in the scandal. Where he knows or not, he’s not on a wiretap talking about paying recruits!!

Do you normally dick slap your boss and get away with it? I didn’t think so.
