"It is what it is," Countess told AL.com Tuesday. "It's part of the game. I'm a football player, it happens. Obviously it didn't go my way. But I can't let that play beat me for the rest of the season. I'm moving forward, we're moving forward.

"I did what I could on the play. Looking back I probably could have done some things differently. But in the moment that's how it happened, that's how it went down. that's part of football. That's part of the game. Get up and play the next play

That dude is a man. Good for him, I wish him the best of luck and hope he knocks every other non-LSU running back the frick out.

As much as that Cam Newton run where he stiff-armed Peterson was played over and over and over...we're nowhere near the level of saturation.

There was another highlight reel run where Countess made one of the better attempts downfield to tackle Fournette.

As for the one where he got trampled, I think it was a valiant effort - he did a helluva lot better than I would have on the play - that's for sure.

Has Ford said anything after getting embarrassed?

As I understand it, he doesn't "tweet" (whatever that is) and deleted or suspended all of his "social media" accounts (whatever that means) after the game.

I think that says it all.

Fournette will discipline a ton of defenders before his time at LSU is up.

You're right. The guy deserving of eternal ridicule on that play is the man who jogged over to play one-hand touch with the Bugatrain.

Auburn guy was more like trying to slow LF down so others could tackle.
