Why would it be called Deaf Valley first considering evidence that it was called Death Valley in the 40's, and that crowds just wouldn't be that loud in the 40s or earlier? Common sense wise, Deaf Valley coming first doesn't work. Add in that there is no written evidence of Deaf Valley used back when, and plenty evidence of Death Valley...

Also heard them play "Tiger Rag".
Heard that as well. Never knew Auburn to play it.
Made me sad, as we apparently have some chickenshit "forces that be" who will no longer allow our band to play such a storied traditional song anymore.

Fixed it for you.
That there hasn't been even a whimper of outrage from LSU fans over the years is sad. There is more concern over a possible permanent banning of Neck. I don't think 95% of LSU fans cheering during pregame realize that they are hearing part of Tiger Rag. It's a shame that no one who makes decisions over what can be played has the balls to stick up for LSU tradition.
