Found your problem. You have a gump dick broken off in your arse.

And if you think Harris wouldn't be "considered" you're an idiot

- Miles is as hard-headed as they come. he will not adjust. He has been passed up by those who have.
- Miles is as weird as they come in his language. That we can accept. I know the media sells a lot of soap and gets a lot of content off of him, as well.
- Miles is a good-hearted and decent man. A wonderful man. That does not mean he should be our coach.
- Miles is a great recruiter with a talent rich state, basically all to himself.

Why does the media "especially espn" need your OPINION....

He'd compete in practice. He would not start. Unless he was developed to be able to throw with touch for passes less than 2o yards down the field. I love Harris, but he throws darts when he should not, and he exposes the ribs of his receivers often due to throwing the ball consistently high. He would not be starting for Bama, unless he was coached/developed at Bama. If you think so, I hope you never get a coaching job for the Tigers.

The average media lurker has a better grasp on the things and is far more intelligent than the average LSU fan.

Don't expect the next guy to win more than Les has. Sorry.

This is the thought that wakes me up in the middle of the night.

Without the right hire; we are more screwed than ever.

It's got to be right, ya'll.

If any one of the major programs with a vacancy were to hire Miles next year, they will have hit a longer home run than LSU will have hit with whomever they hire. Everybody in the country wants us to fire Les.

To get into the Playoffs LSU has to win the SEC. Before they can do that they have to win the West.

As the OP stated, LSU is 8-9 vs. the West over the last 3 years and 4-7 over the last two. That isn't being competitive...that is miserable and bottom tier.

The trend for LSU has been down. The time for a change is now!

Great post. Talking heads act we are firing a guy one year removed from a NC. Reality is we are firing a guy that no longer competes in his own division.

It is time for change, but it isn't time for a change at all costs. Hopefully Alleva is doing his job - and that is working this through back channels. If the people on his short list aren't interested, we could do much worse than waiting it out with Miles one more year. I don't believe that there has been an official statement from anyone at LSU, all the rest is just speculation.

Additionally, we haven't "lost" any recruits until after NSD. A new coach can come in and work on recommitting recruits. This shite happens every year (and likely would have happened with Franks anyway).

As upset as I am that I haven't been receiving personal updates everyday on the situation from Alleva himself, compare this situation to what it could be -
- Miles is fired after the Ole Miss game. Embarrassing a coach who has been very good to and for the University. There is 0 reason to not let him finish the regular season, and even less to announce any plans until after the A&M game.
- By announcing publicly and early we don't get our 1st, 2nd or 3rd guy (who all play us for raises at their current positions). Get in a bidding war with the many schools already announced and end up not landing a guy until deep in January, at which point he gets about a week to put together a staff before trying to salvage NSD.

A late hire is what has the potential to affect NSD more than anything else. Les' job security is no more a factor in recruiting than his record after 'Bama losses recently as they both amount to the same thing - LSU not being competitive in the playoff picture.
