Rick just because I wasn't a Miles fan doesn't mean I agree with every criticism or anti Miles opinion. You and I have been in threads where you've seen me defend his first 3 seasons. The only thing I've said about it is that is has enough merit to warrant an argument only because you use that same logic when discussing every other coach except Miles.

I didn't continuously harpe on the fact that we hired Miles though. Yes I bashed him but I didn't constantly talk about his hiring in 05. I didn't constantly complain that he'd never won 10 games before coming here or that we were only his second HC job. I judged him by what I saw him do while here at LSU. And I didn't hope he'd lose you know I never had any grand expectations for our team under him. I tried to just look at the games individually every week as objectively as possible, I knew we'd win some games but I always maintained that I thought it was impossible for him to go undefeated so the season to me always had a certain ceiling and that lower margin for error than most elite programs. I was basically just waiting for it to be over I mean I went to nearly every home game from 82 until 07 but after Florida that year the only game I'd go to was Bama every other year for my oldest sons birthday that's how much he wore me down.

He ruins every thread he enters... this thread wasn't about Miles yet he came in defending him like he always does.... it's getting old and stale....

Agree with this. No reason to rate O higher at this point but he does have lots of room to grow.

Lots of coaches have had bad tenures at one location only to change that at another. Jury is still out on O but this year will be critical. This is his team, his staff, his success or his failure.

This guy is truly staggering he literally accuses others of the things he's doing it's like he either doesn't read or doesn't comprehend what he's responding to and just repeats the same inane arguments. Him and Ree have got to be related to O or Pomansky

I'm not ignoring his most recent work. He's done a good job in 2 interim roles. That's nice, but doesn't really tell us all that much.

What he did in 2 Interim jobs was take over 2 stacked rosters that were going sideways at the start of the season and basically took out the trash. At USC he had 1 quality win, over Stanford the next 2 best teams he played were UCLA and Notre Dame (USCs 2 biggest rivals) and lost both. At LSU he played 2 quality teams Alabama and Florida and lost both. After being named full time coach he did beat Louisville a quality win even though they did lose their previous 2 games to Houston (and Tom Herman don't tell Ree) and Kentucky. The off-season moves have been a mixed bag, the Canada hire is good, Robinson ok, the others meh. Recruiting closed good but there were some notable misses. The current class is nearly filled with mid level guys some who may move up but like how he does as full time remains to be seen.

Wow, how much self unaware can a person be?

Again we see you saying the exact opposite of what you've actually done and said in this thread. Just look at my initial comments to you and your responses

The fact you compare the hiring of a DL coach who was flat out terrible in his only head coach position when he had true total program responsibility to that of one where the head coach was successful even though he was at a school what was considered 2nd class in a state, shows you to be clueless.

O might turn out to the second coming of Saban, but the hiring process used by Alleva and the hire of a guy who couldn't even get a DL position after his Old Miss clusterfrick stay is the biggest fricking gamble I have ever see by a SEC school.

How anyone could bash a coach who goes 11-2 in his first year to end up in the top 5 after LSU went 9-3 and ranked 16 the year before, tells me you don't know shite about the SEC or college football.

I've resolved myself to letting it go outside of bashing Alleva at every possible opportunity when the AD, including all coaches and team members he had anything to do with or have influence over, does stupid shite.
We can't change that screw up last November. We can do 1 of 2 things:
1. pray O is indeed Dabo number 2.
2. Pray he loses all games this year and get fired.

If he has a mediocre year, that means 2 more and we would have gone 2020 in the middle to lower end of the West.

Yeah, there's definitely no reason to bash O for accepting the job offered to him. I have no reason to dislike him nor do I want him to fail (obviously). That's what some people can't seem to grasp. Just because I think it was a foolish, lazy, short-sighted hire doesn't mean I have a gripe with Orgeron himself or that I don't want him to blow the doors off of every opponent he faces.

Who has been as bad as O was at OM, and turned it around to be successful at another spot? Do not tell me Belichick and Carroll in their first NFL gigs, because they were actually slightly successful.

Obsess much? Even when nobody's talking to you you can't stop throwing yourself at me. Lol you're truly pathetic you have the worst schtick on earth you keep accusing me of exactly what you're doing. Your heart pumps sugar water and it makes you so transparent you're see through.

Wasn't comparing O to Miles Rick asked me a question and made a statement about it and I responded. Why don't you work on your reading comp skills you retard. And saying I don't know shite about football because I criticized Miles tells me you don't know shite about anything. Thanks for the complement if a moron like you agreed with me I'd start to worry.

I'm being dead serious when I ask this - are you related to Orgeron? I don't think I've ever seen someone take the questioning of a coaching hire so personally.

Serious question are you touched? That exchange had zero to do with O just how stupid are you really?
