I hope some people don't renew their season tickets. I am tired of bandwagon fans. I hope we get more people who enjoy the experience of what makes LSU on a Saturday a special event.

Tiger Stadium just doesn't have that goosebump effect anymore and with 2 loses guaranteed every year it's just depressing

Ok, but this goes deeper than just wins and losses. A lot of folks who have season tickets have a lot more gripes than just that and the administration refuses to make changes. Some things for starters:
Shitty OOC games at home, premium games at neutral sites.
Ridiculous TV timeouts that screw up the flow of the game, and LSU refuses to keep with the times and entertain patrons with anything other than ads.

Yeah, because we had so many seasons with less than 2 losses.

I'm really starting to worry that you are going to kill yourself soon.

Again, where are these people coming from?

There will be a ton of Furman tickets available this weekend, so by all means, all the "true fans" please come out and buy up the tickets. But you and I both know that won't happen.

Hell, even the for the florida game there were tickets going for face value outside the stadium. There are no excuses for these "true fans" to not be at the games already.

There will be more there than at the average game across the country. For me saturday at LSU is more than just the game. Its celebrating a good time with friends and family. I will say that the administration has made it harder to do that. Our tailgate group is smaller than in years past because its more of a hassle to get to campus and more expensive to park. But anyone who said we should win every game and wouldn't settle for a 2-3 losses at the beginning of the season is an irrational fan. This conference is too good and we lost too many good players for youth and inexperience not to show at some point this year. So if your choice is to not support LSU and not renew your tickets because we have lost a couple games I say good riddance to you.

Exactly, can't wait for these guys to put their money where their mouth is. I can guarantee a bunch of tickets will be on the market this summer, let's see if they get all snapped up. Would be a complete embarassment for Alleva to open up the new addition and struggle to sell out the joint. We already know that the stands will be half empty the majority of next year with the shitty home slate.
I still think it's a complete shame that we have this beautiful addition, only to open the season at a neutral site.

I understand this and I'm with you, but I think some people assume there are thousands of "true fans" out there waiting for their opportunity to get season tickets. That just isn't true. There are tickets available for every game, and the biggest home game of the year thus far was far from full.

The expansion next year won't help either. The extra tickets will allow more tickets available outside the stadium and on stub hub driving prices down. When people are no longer able to sell of certain games of their season ticket package for a reasonable price, they will drop their season tickets as well and just purchase tickets for the games they want to go to.

I agree completely about opening at home. There is no reason that game couldn't have been a home and home in BR and madison. I live in Houston and I would have preferred to have the game in Tiger stadium....

Considering how hard they are to pick back up if you have good seats, never. Family has had multiple ets going back to the 70's and 80's. We still have most of them even tho we almost never go to games and give them away to friends and people we do business with just because if you want them again it would take years and years to get them back.

I don't think there's 20,000 people looking to get tickets either. I think there are 20,000 people who already have tickets that are looking to get better tickets.

The notion that there are hordes of Tiger fans beating down the gates to pay the extortion required for entry is a complete and utter facilcy. Virtually every single game tickets are available for face or less, yet seats are unoccupied everywhere while fans get on TD from their recliner and bitch about not being able to get tickets and question the loyalty of anyone that's actually out there and complains about any facet of their experience.

Alleva has no idea how this affects most. He has his head up the oil/corporate hay ride ONLY, and is totally out of touch with the rest of us.

He is really screwing up this time. The empty stadium, combined with a likely struggling 2014 team, and higher prices, ensure lots of empty seats.

But he will get money for the empty seats, so he does not really care, now does he?

The good thing is, with Les Miles, you have the opportunity to enjoy the full spectrum of LSU football. Almost like the Nick Saban and Curley Hallman years have been merged into one. When it's great, it's great, but when it's bad, "what the hell" doesn't do it justice.
