The has Miles dumbass written all over it, this deal has been done for some time I suspect and the interviews are window dressing.
Its why Haley didn't bolt. But thank Christ we didn't bring in a young, smart, innovative coach, he would have been totally out of place on this staff.

Youre stupid as frick and dont know how a cfb staff is hired. Miles cant just hire someone. Its on Alleva. Alleva is the one who sent his assistants to Chavis with a take it or leave it , low ball contract. Alleva wouldnt even meet with Chavis to negotiate.

Hopefully as soon as possible, now that we are through the holidays, most schools will be starting within a week or two and it is a new calendar year as well.
Ironically, Alleva played college football, not basketball. Do a search--I was pretty surprised.
But you would never know it by his performance as LSU AD.
I wonder what LSU saw in him in the first place to give him the position? At Duke, basketball runs itself and had a tradition before he was there, he struggled with the embarrassment about the lacrosse program that year, and football has now gotten better since his departure.
