I agree. I think its obvious. Either that or they get some nutritional 'help'.

And before you laugh. I know that to be the case. Personally.

Everybody in the nation sees it. Thats why its often said, "if LSU only had an offense".

Does it bother you if people are positive about this season?

If you answer no, why in the world would you start this thread?

Im not, not excited. I just think we should temper expectations considering history.

Here in lies the flaw of your stance.

You don't just want to withhold YOUR excitement and wait and see, you want EVERYONE to agree and do the same.

Just like its ok for you to wait and see, its ok for others to be excited now.

Not at all. I like the excitement and enthusiasm, even if I think its likely misplaced.

Because if you do express cautious optimism, you get called out. Called a bad fan, a nega-tiger, a piece of shite, told you will eat crow, etc.

I feel like Im repeating myself in this thread.

In the past 3 years, heres the point total for Alabamas SECw(+ permanent e) opponents

Only 1 of those teams got shut out.

LSU has been shutout twice.

Sorry you are getting all the downvotes I am sure to get a few myself with this post. Yes you are correct about our past performance, but our offense has changed plain and simple. Will it be affective against Bama this year, well the good news is we get to find out. Will we get shut out this year, well I am willing to put a ton of money against anyone that we won't be this year. How many points we will score don't know, depends on our health at that time of the year. But getting shut out won't happen this year, next year or the following with the looks of the kids we are recruiting.

What people don't really understand is Miles really didn't leave LSU with a fully stocked cupboard so O has had to replenish the talent. Whether people want to believe it or not we had more work we needed to do to get to Bama's level. We are there will we beat them this year? Maybe and maybe not always tough to win in Tuscaloosa, but we will score.

Unfortunately, for every post like the above there seems to be one of these -

"Joe Brady and Ensminger are going to wreck shop! Theyre going to break all kinds of records at LSU. Theyre going to make Joey Burreaux the best LSU QB of all time. Better than Rohan Davey. This is the year LSU topples Alabama. Bookmark it and suck it you

There is nothing wrong with that post. You don't like it cuz you don't agree with it. Who cares if that poster ends up being wrong? He's not allowed to use hyperbole and post about his excitement cuz it bothers you? GTFO with that shite.

And what does that tell you? It tells me that Bama takes LSU more seriously than those other teams.

OH frick off Nancy!

I dont think theres anything wrong with taking a wait and see approach. That would be prudent

In most areas of life, that is a wise approach. But, this is college football. The off-season is where you can/should get excited. Every team, regardless of last year's performance has a chance to win it all!!! Why not get excited? Because you could be let down? Pansy! Lol. Hell, I predict we win it all! Could I be wrong? Probably. But why not brag while I can... once the season starts we will all soon know if offense has changed.

Instead, I'll get excited; hope for the best; anticipate needed changes; and let non-LSU fans tell me to how "bad" we will be-- how we were shut out 2 times against Bama. Enough enemies will rain on our parade, I just don't need/want people who claim to be LSU fans to be

Thats the rub.

LSUs defense can stop those offenses but those other teams defenses cant stop them. LSU is the only team Ive seen that has been able to consistently shut down spread and RPO offenses. Theres a reason LSU has the most players in the NFL(most years) and most of them are on defense. Who you rather be when facing 4 and 5 WR sets than DBU?

Alabama puts alot in the NFL too but they seem to be mostly front 7 which is why Alabama shuts down 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

This is a matter of people only noticing what they disagree with.

Cuz this 100% happens just as often if not more by posters like Damone who try to shite all over anyone that is excited.

No calls out the fan the says shite like "I'm excited but I hope it works out. They shite on the guy saying "LOL LSU will always suck on offense despite the offseason propaganda they push out every year."

I do agree with you about Damone but he seems to be the only one. There are several like Damone on the other side of the coin.

Do I really care? Like, in real life?

No.

But in the context of an inconsequential, internet sports forum, its ignorant.

You know what?

Youre right!

Im too uptight about LSU football. Im so pissed off about all the wasted offensive talent that has come though here all those years thats its made me bitter and cynical.

Even IRL I get really agitated about wasted opportunity and the lack of will to address the obvious problems.

This is just entertainment, after all.

Watch this...

LSUs offense is going to be fricking phenomenal this year. All the stars are aligning.

This guy, and a few others, clearly have an agenda to stir shite on this site by constantly shitting all over O. I'm fairly certain they are tied in with certain individuals on the site.
