He didn't say that at all, but Alabama is better in the trenches and that is undisputed.

He said you need first rounders to beat first rounders. It wasn't even implied. His exact comment was LSU doesn't have the size, strength, talent to beat Alabama.

He knows damn well that the fanbase is starving for straight talk after Miles' inponderable blubbering. Seems calculated.

I'm calling bullshite.... So you're saying that were it not for the fact that Miles preceded him, O would talk evasive gibberish? That he wouldn't be honest unless it were self-serving?

Not really fair to the guys that worked all week, went to class, and gave it 100% on the field. It's fine to say we need to get better at that spot, a little classless to say Cam Robinson is better than them and that they aren't first rounders.

like it or not, this is not amateur sports anymore, the term "scholar/athlete," as it applies to the big three revenue sports has been a farce/joke for quite some time

LSU fans have been screaming for transparency for several years, now. You want it? You got it. The truth hurts. Suck it up and get better.i guarantee you that the things he says in public pale in comparison to what they discuss in the film room. If these players can't handle it, they need to find another hobby.

Just an outsider looking in, but it's refreshing to see a coach tell the truth. If he has to point fingers to areas that have deficiencies then so be it.

CEO's comment about the oline is more of an indictment on Les though, because Les is an o-line guy. Your o-line has talent but their execution has been sub-par for a couple of years now. Leading one to think that development is an issue (Grimes.)

It's called motivation. If this statement doesn't light a fire, you don't need to be playing a violent sport.

I'm not sure why this keeps coming up. You can say "we need to be better" without saying "we need the guys on the other sideline".

Perhaps we should realize you don't have time for a 5 step drop, LF is not going to rush for 100 and LF/DG should have been used at the same time with play action pass.

We do need Cam Robinson though

A singular player would not have mattered on Saturday.

He is motivating them and at the same time talking about a how we missed out on recruiting.

Not a good look for an auditioning head coach to say previous recruiting was a factor in a loss.

Is Alabama not the "kid across the street?" Don't we want to be like the kid across the street?

There is a difference between literal and figurative speech. You seem to hop between the two with complete disregard.

He probably has kids that are hard workers and understand how the real world works so he would probably be a good person to ask. Thanks for the suggestion!

You're welcome.

CLM, for all his offensive line experience, just never recruited or developed linemen at the way Saban did. Those guys look bigger on the field because they are bigger. There's only one way to beat bama and that's on the recruiting trail. CEO is exactly right in saying this and I'm just glad we have a coach (for how long...) that tells the damn truth.

Someone can post the Boutte video of him getting knocked on his butt or of our OTs spinning around not picking anyone up. Oregeron is calling it like it is. Grimes is gone after this year whether or not Oregeron is the coach or there is a new regime.

You can't be this dense. Did he mention any other Bama O-lineman by name? No. He mentioned Cam because he is a Louisiana kid that Coach O feels LSU let get away. How fricking hard is that to understand?

A stellar left tackle could have made a definitive difference.

I don't understand your point. You said (and I quoted) "We need Cam Robinson". That was your point, not what Coach O said. I responded to that.
