Exactly...anyone who picks the regular season game instead of the SECCG for whatever stupid reason (Tebow never winning there, Meyer being 0-3 there, etc) is just that.
As for playing three times, I just don't see the loser of the SECCG playing for the MNC unless there are no other 1-loss teams. Everyone else would have to have 2 or more losses for that to happen.

If we split the winner of the SECCG will get the nod. It has vaulted an SEC team into the NC game the last three years running, no reason to think it would be different this year.
As for a third matchup, I seriously doubt and surely hope that we NEVER see that between any two teams from any one conference. It would be a very low-rated gig for the media imo. Rematches are already frowned upon much less a third outing.

I understand you're just trying to stir up a discussion, but please tell me who in his right mind would prefer to win a regular season game to winning a conference championship.

What if they place thrice?
If we're discussing hypotheticals, I say the absolute ideal season would be beat UF twice like we did vs. UGA in 2003, and in the same way: a close, exciting win during the regular season that leaves Tebow in tears, then demolishing them in Atlanta. And what would be better than playing UF a 3rd time, would be the chance to finally meet USC in the big game. I can't imagine the season playing out any more enjoyable than that (assuming wins, of course).
*Disclaimer: I don't dislike USC and actually enjoy watching them play, so this is not a grudge thing. I just think it would be great to play them, and satisfying to beat them.
edit to add: I know this is a tall order, and I'm not unrealistic... just bringing this up as an ideal hypothetical way of the season playing out, even moreso than playing UF 3 times.

I'm with ya, but there is someone within this thread that would prefer the home win ...

Obviously I'd want both, and would love it if LSU played UF three times...as long as we win out.
If I had to choose the no-brainer would be the SEC CG.

I hope we play them twice and beat then the SECCG that mean we may have a shot at the NC if we have only one loss

im going to go ahead and say that ASSuming this scenario works out... i would love to win the SEC championship.
that being said, i dont think we get to the conference championship unless we beat florida in the regular season

Big ASSumption dude and a stupid question.
Why would anyone want the home win if they could get teh SEC Championship win, which would most like get is into the National Championship.
Please, stop being stupid.
Lastly, I think we should be patient with this team. There is the very real possibility we lose 3-4 games so let's just take it one step at a time.

what about beating that at home then again in the national championship? I could possibly see us beating them in BR, then lose to either Ole Miss or Bama, and Bama or Ole Miss wins the West and loses to Florida in the SEC championship, setting a rematch of LSU and Florida in the National Championship
a all SEC matchup in the Rose Bowl (where the BCS NG is played this year... i think) this would be epic

Let's just go 14-0 and end all doubt.

I would sacrifice a win at home for a shot at the 'ship anyday.
