How does the play get sent into the field under Canada?

Are we done with all the delay of game penalties and wasted time outs?

Good luck stopping an LSU offense with this kind of movement and creativity. If you watch these highlights this type of offense really wears down the defense because it uses the entire field so they are literally chasing the offense all over the field.

You add the weapons LSU has to use in this offense and anyone of these plays can take it to the house so everyone will have to be on their toes to stop every motion, every play which could come out of that motion. We are going to crush people this year.

Danny can also use his mobility on plays which break down. From what I've seen it looks like they will use Stevens in that FBs roll, handing it off and sending him to the flats or on wheel route to get behind defense's. I see tons of mismatches for teams with this offense. Glad you posted this but now I'm just more excited, the season just can't get here fast enough. Good luck BYU!

Loved where with ~20 or so seconds left Canada runs 3 plays in the red zone instead of "setting up" the game winning field goal. Confidence.

Did not love the 2-3 phantom Pass Interference calls they gifted Pitt. LSU doesn't get those calls, especially against the big boys.

Sept. 2nd can't get here fast enough. How many times was "another great call/creative play" said? More times in that one broadcast than the entire Miles tenure.

Especially with Stevens now being moved to WR. This has so much potential.

Geaux Tigers!

Canada called a masterful game, but they did get some solid help from the officials.

Downvote , thats fine .. but think :

Alabama has most of the season to watch tape on LSU's offense (as they have every year) .

If our goal is to beat Alabama , and ultimately win the national championship , this offense will contribute to that goal ?

I read or saw a interview with Canada where he mentions he runs the same play out of different formations. That's great , but theres only so many formations and sets you can install in the first year of a new offense .

Yes because Canada can make it as different or as versatile as he chooses. He can run the same play to the same player in multiple different looks and/or formations. His offense is the opposite of what ol'dummy Miles ran for his tenure here. Unpredictable.

This is the perfect offense for Derius Guice. I'm not a big time fan of "tricky" offenses, but after years of watching Miles juggernaut offense. I'll be happy with any misdirection.

I was at this game. I sat 2nd row behind Pitt's bench. The QB, rbs, WRs and TE sat on this one bench close to stands. After Pitt scored a TD you could hear the players yelling about how Clemson couldn't figure out what they were doing on offense. Yelling about how all the motion before the snap had them confused.

Thanks for these. I'm intrigued by what Canada is going to do with the O this year. I don't think it'll be exactly the same as what he did at Pitt last year (a lot of that looked just like a spaced out flexbone offense), just because we should have more talent at the WR position. Hopefully a guy like Guice can turn some of those runs into big plays moreso than a back like Conner did.
