Yeah but think of all the people COVID has spared death from illnesses like the flu, pneumonia, and heart disease.

Ok flyboy the math guy, do the math for us. What are the odds? I bet you can't do the math and can't quote the science.

I’ve had patients test positive for 9 weeks and felt fine but couldn’t go back to work until 2 negatives. So imagine a team with a bunch of scrubs or backups because the virus could be in a starter’s system and they’ll be sitting on their couch watching the game on tv

I also agree that everything involves risk and we still have freedom to choose. They might ask players to choose whether to play, sign a legal waiver that they understand the risks and then the show goes on. Those not comfortable not taking the risk don't lose their scholarship. But, as we've seen this week with LSU and Clemson, what happens when mini-outbreaks hit specific teams e.g. Over 50% get it? Will they have to forfeit (multiple) games mid-season?

Just heard on radio that under the age 39, less than 1,000 have died.

I personally know two people who have died of it. In both cases their families had been praying/hoping for them to die. One had been on hospice on and off for five years. The other had lost her mind. Thankfully COVID-19 took them both.

People have short memories, liberals count on that, one of trumps experts on the virus said on national TV , the counting of virus deaths are very liberal ,,, if they test positive and a lot of cases they don’t even test they just call it a virus caused death if they have any type of symptoms, some cases the family even protested the death , cause that person had been suffering a long illness like cancer or other serious, illnesses ,,,yes those who spout the government big numbers of death ,Yes they have been padded , as much as , 50%maybe higher

I think we need to change our mindset about Coronavirus.

We have been manipulated by media and so-called experts to make us think this virus is deadly to everyone. It is not. But because we now think like that we base all our predictions and solutions on that false premise. We now know that 99% of everyone who gets the virus recover with no problem and most of those never have symptoms. Highest risk group are the elderly over 70 with existing health issues. That same group is also a high risk group for the common flu.

Ask yourself. How many people do you know personally in the USA have actually died from Coronavirus? Of all my friends and all my acquaintances in the USA, I know personally of only one person who tested positive for Coronavirus and he had a mild fever of 100.2 for one day and flu like symptoms and was completely well in 4 days.

We have been brainwashed by a media that lies to us about so many other things too. We must change our mindset and then think and act based on the truth that this is no more than a serious flu and high risk groups need to take precaution while the rest of us get on with living. Fear of this virus has become more of a threat to our well being than the virus itself. If you are afraid then stay home. The rest of us have a lot of living to do. Don’t waste your life “sheltering in place” at home needlessly. Change your mindset. Open your eyes. Awaken from the slumber of media manipulation and deceit.

The funny thing about it all is that they will be fine. Cough and low grade fever for about 2 weeks and that’s it! My whole damn family has had it. This country has gone completely insane!

I know 5 people who have had it: ages 28, 41, 48, 56 and 60. None had contributing medial conditions. The 41 and 60 year old died. The other three said this was the sickest they have ever been. The 56 year old is my next door neighbor.

You are rare. There will always be someone like you who know two people who have died. But even you know only two people. If the millions who know no one who have died were to write on this site it would be overwhelmingly evident just how not deadly this virus is to 99% of the population. Live in your fear if you choose but I will not. I see this for what it really is.

Do not keep spreading your fear to others NorthTiger. Stay at home if you are afraid and we will keep on living.

Interesting take on my post. I simply posted facts about what my experience had been. You see this as spreading fear. Are you are this easily triggered?

North Tiger the more you spread your fear the more you hurt others. Those who know the data are not afraid.

Ask those 18-22 year olds how they feel about their parents and grandparents passing. You can believe what you want but let’s not be insensitive to loss.

I live in VB, VA (not a hotbed), and I have said from day one we shouldn't have shut ANYTHING down. This would have run it's course by now, and the "projections" are always overinflated. I have asked every single person I've met since the shutdown, easily 200-250 people. ZERO know anybody who has contracted or died from the virus. This thing is real, but so are other illnesses we haven't closed the country down for.

This has been exaggerated AND cheered on by the libs from the jump. There are plenty of people in power that know this is bs, but they don't have the balls to lose their career (who does) standing up to the hysterical mob.

None of this nonsense went on because of the regular flu. Hell they didn't do anything close to this when there were actual Ebola cases in the U.S. Is COVID a bad thing? Sure, it sucks. But as Trump said, "The cure cannot be worse than the problem."
