I will never know if he did it because he fricked up the search or if he really believed but he has earned his due with the CWW and CEO hires.

Backed himself into a corner and backed into a great hire in retrospect. He gets no credit for foresight because there was none.

its very safe to assume this hire eventually cost him his job.

But did he really screw up the search? The latest intel says no.

An assumption is just that, an assumption but mine is that him wanting to fire will wade got him his job.

Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan.

Joe Alleva deserves a lot of credit for what happened last night, as O was his hire, a hire few others would have made. He also did a good job raising money and getting things built, pushing back on resistance from reluctant school administrators. Alleva's stand-offish personality was his own downfall.

At the TIME, he missed out out (or did not go after) Fisher/Herman, etc.

Today, yes it was the right choice.

Yes, because if he really thought O was the guy for the job he never would've bothered with Herman.

Screw Joe Alleva. He is trash and ruined those kids lives at Duke. He deserves to be unemployed.

He should go cry more to the media about how he would never hire Jimbo (lie).

frick Alleva. We won in spite of him, and only lucked up with O (and I mean come on, no one would have picked him at that time) because of Alleva’s monumental incompetence led to Herman and Fisher both playing him.

I am 100% behind O now but Alleva doesn’t deserve anything but a swift kick in the arse

No. How he handled Will Wade's suspension cost him his job.

He's a preening fraud.

I almost think it's a troll when people say he deserves credit for anything.
