he'll play. I dont think he'll be the decideing factor like some of you try to make him out to be. I expect it to be a mix of what we've seen so far. 75-80% JL rest to JJ.

I was just repeating what i heard from some bama fans. Yall are the one jumping on my back.

bama fans seem to be more worried about JJ. majority of the rushing yds against them have come from more mobile qbs. so yes jj will play and will run the ball.

This was my post.

See where i finished saying yes JJ will play and will run the ball.

Isnt that what he has done every game he has been available to play in over his entire career?

no. it's a smoke and mirrors offense. it needs to be ran with a fb like qb (otherwise, vandy would've been competing in the sec).

and even at it's best in this conference (ran with tebow and newton) both qbs had to hit big plays with their arms to beat a nick saban coached defense.

jj's legs won't matter in this one. i can promise you.

With the exception of the one long pass, JJ's "read option" offense was entirely stifled by AU. Bama's defense will destroy it, unless it becomes more dynamic and unpredictable over the next two weeks.

JJ got more snaps against Auburn than anyone else this year.

Yes no doubt. We need Jefferson to be 100%

He'll likely chuck it too.
He threw for 75% and a TD beating the gumps last year.

Meh, I think JJ's "running ability" is overrated. Les is playing him like he's Michael Vick. JJ isn't even what Ryan Perrilloux was to the 07 team. JJ just really isn't that great of a runner so I don't think its a difference maker which is why I'm not in favor of him stealing snaps from Lee.

Don't make more out of the comparison that I'm going to make here but Jefferson is more like Aaron Rodgers and Miles thinks he's Vick. Rodgers is a pocket passer, but if you've watched him play much, you know that he has the ability to keep a play alive with his feet as a last option. Thats the type of QB I see Jefferson as. So IMO, using him for designed runs is worthless.

What this

has to do with

I may never figure out.

He only ran 6 or 7 times at around 4ypc last year, but passed for 140 or 150yds.
He was a more pro style QB out of DHS, so no, running isn't 2nd nature to him.
He does run well enough to open up PA.
AU keyed on him and got burned.
Look for this vs gumps.

he didn't look good at all in the running game last week.

And he still had a lot of success for the amount of snaps he got. He's been running so well that he has become at least a serious threat that we are beginning to redeem the benefits of. He broke the game open last week.

Which "last week" are you talking about? He had a net total of TWO yards rushing last week against Auburn. That's a "lot of success"?

I think he meant JJ's 42yd TD pass to RR off PA.

Why is anybody really surprised that JJ didn't run good against Auburn. Miles seems to believe that the read option is the only run plays he wants him to have and if you forgot, 80-90% of Auburn's offense for the past 3 years have been option and misdirection same with Florida. I promise you if he got more passing plays he could have easily broke a couple.

Remember Cotton Bowl threat to pass opened up his running.
Against Tennessee their whole offense is Tyler Bray so they don't see atheletic QBs or option plays, and can't prepare for it, which is why he ran all over them.

I think if Miles let's him play as a passer first then a runner second, whenever he decides to chuck him in the game, then it will begin to spread the Bama defense out which is what he accomplished 2 years in a row against their 2009 championship team and their team last year.

I wouldn't say we need him but you never know how a game will turn out.
