Don’t be surprised when it happens. These kids are worried about their futures beyond LSU and you can’t really blame them

I don't blame anyone for doing what they think is in their best interest.

However, I absolutely think Vincent hurt himself financially.

How does this relate to opting out? Will they be immune once they take pads off or something? Do they plan on never leaving the house until this thing passes?

I'm convinced a lot of these kids simply can't evaluate risk logically. You see it with kids who make bad decisions around the draft all the time. It takes a lot of hand holding to help kids make good decisions.

I'm afraid we'll see it here too. Kids saying "I can't risk it, assuming they aren't giving anything up and assuming they are safer when, in reality, they may be less safe."

My guess is the guys who are legitimately obese were giving reality checks about the virus. That reality doesn't change because they decide not to play football though.

In other words, college age kids are better off in school and at college, not at home. This media narrative that has pushed doomsday for young people is bullshite.

It's not about death for these athletes. It's about permanent cardiac injury preventing them from having a career.

Myocarditis from viruses isn’t permanent. It’s inflammation, after a couple of months it gets deinflamed.

This is false. Permanent damage has and does happen, albeit less often. Please read here: LINK

Disclaimer: I DO want them to play, but I'm not for spreading false information.

If anyone is at a potential health risk, would have to imagine it’s going to be +300lb linemen.

So in the vast majority of straight forward viral myocarditis it goes away on its own with a few months of inactivity.

In the rarer, more extreme cases the disease can have long lasting effects.

Aka it’s extremely unlikely this will stop anyone from having a pro career. But sure you get on your high horse and worry away

But I bet some, if they are backups, are doing it because they are angry about not being starters and don't want to "waste a year" putting in work only to not play as much as they think they should play.

This is not it, IMO. You're less likely to play if these freshman have an additional year of experience behind them. It will be harder to get that opportunity, not easier. The only thing you will be guaranteed is to be part of the team and get "some" playing time.

Odds of "permanent cardiac injury" are very small. Myocarditis can also be caused by the common cold.

Guess we might as well just get everybody to hop in a bubble.

X. Hill was mentioned on 104.5 today by O as really impressing early on. Not sure if he talked him up because Kardell may be out and the has to fill in, or the fact that Hill has impressed so much that it has caused Kardell to want to sit out.

I stated it was rare. I have no high horse. I'm simply making data available and correcting inaccurate information.

How does opting out benefit them? Are they trying to hide from the world?

Jimmy Smith The one that predicted 5 out of 5 Anyone can throw that out there, he's trying to be first with a story like Vitale. Names? Or it's nothing more than speculation.

Everyone predicted that. Shea Dixon, Sonny Shipp, Mike Scar, even a bunch of national experts

You’re discrediting his source because he missed on a recruiting guess? He’s probably more tied in to local talent, due to his 7 on 7 team, than most

I am honestly surprised that Chase is playing now that they have the option to sit the year out. He literally has nothing to prove for the scouts on the field.

I don’t know, maybe, just hear me out, some of these guys actually enjoy playing football and competing.

Crazy talk, huh?

. Apparently you are retarded and not capable of reading and comprehension. No where did I say what I would do. I said I was surprised that he didn’t opt out. As far as if it were me. I never had a huge desire to play in the NFL. My dream was wear that purple and gold on Saturday nights in Death Valley. If I had been blessed to have had the ability to do that I damn sure would have played all 4 years.
