not sure what a typical game is plenty of times lsu has blown arky out and vice versa, also plenty of times each school scored zero points.
we have won 5 of last 8 and are 9-6 sense yall joined the sec.
we also went on a 13 game unbeaten streak against yall. So in no way shape or form has arkansas been better than lsu in mine or my parents lifetime.

Agreed. They barely got by Troy, in Fayetteville. If Texas A&M weren't the choke artists they are, they would've dropped that game. Ole Miss gave them fits. Even Vanderbilt! If Vanderbilt doesn't fumble in that game, it's a different outcome. The missed field goal doesn't even happen.
BOOM
That 9-1 record doesn't mean much when you've struggled badly with 7 of those games.

im not taking them lightly but they remind me of LSU last year. keep too many games close and u drop some. they are the 3rd best team this year in the sec, which sux cus they very easily could be the 3rd best team in the country.

What?
They are over ranked at best. 3rd ranked team in the country, no way.
With what I posted a second ago, they are horrible in away games this year.
Ole Miss? Vandy? And they're #6? I'll take it though.
I do understand your reservations though. But I do think we'll be ok.

Not worried about Arky like I usually am. If this game were in LR it would be an entirely different story.

Arkansas has not been impressive on the road. They have lost by 24 (Bama); won by 3 (Vandy); 4 (A&M); 5 (Ole Miss).
They have given up 38 points both to Bama and A&M; 28 points to Vandy; and 24 to Ole Miss.
They held Tennessee to 7 points in their last game (a home game), but Tennessee hasn't scored more than 12 points in any of their last 5 SEC games. So that impresses less than one might initially think.
The best defense they have faced, and the most like LSU, is Bama, which held them to 14 points. South Carolina gave up a lot of points, but South Carolina is being held together by bailing wire and duct tape. The Gamecocks have not played an offense with pulse since Georgia until the Arkansas game, and they gave up points to Georgia in that game.
The long and short: Arkansas is a very good team on offense, but they have played only one truly good defense this year and lost. They are not, based on their record, a particularly strong defense. They have given up a lot of points to every even mediocre offense they have played. Unless Arkansas plays a much better defensive game against LSU than they have demonstrated thus far this year, it makes sense why the spread is showing LSU as a 2 TD favorite in this game.

TigerinRidgeland, your commentary is spot on. I have watched tape of Arkansas's defense from several games this season and, quite frankly, the Hogs' LBers and secondary are not very good, and that is being kind. Arky's defensive line is the strongest part of its defense but average at best. If LSU comes into the game focused, then LSU should be able to run the ball down the Hogs' throat just as the Tigers did against Florida and Auburn, and mix in play action. As a result, LSU should win the game comfortably.

Won't have to. LSU will figure out how to do it for us.

Arkansas is a traditional bunch of misfits creeps living around the out house. Not even trying to become apart of civilization. Nothing more then savage children one steep behind civilization. nothing new about the Arkansas football fans trying to become apart of the main street in America. The Dallas newspaper has been telling everyone in Texas about the dirty Arkansas fans for years. Now of course the SEC is beginning to see the way they really are also. Out house people acting more like creeps then anything else.

keep saying this as you rest your little head at night
I expect it to be a normal lsu/arky game

Focus should be on Ole Miss. It would be a crock to lose this week and win next week.

Then you'll just lose disappointed. Also, who's the dude with the long blonde hair in your sig picture?
Jesus, if that's the best Arkansas can do, I see why you always want to come down here and pretend you matter.

I suspect lsu covers this easily. Im thinking 21 point win.
GTFO spewing that nonsense This game will be a nailbiter, and probably come down (as usual) to the end of the 4th qtr.
Arkansas is VERY capable of upsetting us in BR

Oklahoma State
Bama
Oregon
Oklahoma (actually has a defense)
Stanford (Arkansas with a better QB)

if you're going to be so wordy and attempt to be smart at least know that twice you put 'apart' but it should be two separate words both times 'a part'. english, learn it.

To assume this will be a typical LSU-Ark game, one would have to perceive this as a typical LSU team. I don't think that, and certainly don't think predicting a 21 pt win is spewing nonsense.

meh...
One hypothesis is as good as the other - I am going with vegas and throwing in some revenge factor for a 17 point win for LSU.

This will be Arky vs LSU 2003.

you apparently have not been paying attention to either team this year. Arky may keep it close for a while, but LSU WILL run effectively and will win by double digits. This is not the year for a close, 4th quarter game (prolly not next year either). See me in 2013
