Tell me a team that has knocked any of these guys around?

Elite pitchers are extremely hard to get runs on for anybody. Not just LSU lol

We get them at home. Don’t worry we will take 2 of 3.

Texas isn’t a great hitting team. They have just had an obscene amount of luck so far this year and looks like it’s running out.

Just like in football. I don't know if I'll call it luck though. Maybe it is a big conspiracy, but they could not have drawn up a better schedule for Texas in both SEC football and baseball....meanwhile OU got arse raped.

Starting pitching was in a mini-slump, but are throwing better lately. We need to bring our bats and take care of business.

Arkansas pitching

Has been top 5 in the league all season. Nothing really that surprising this weekend against Texas.

Wood missed almost 8 weeks of the season. Has been on a strict pitch count since he came back and that likely will go up to 80 or so pitches next weekend in Baton Rouge. To start the year, there were 4 solid guys battling for the 3 weekend spots. With Wood back, Gaeckle kind of took a back seat and has taken on the role of relieving Wood in his last three outings.

Arkansas is still hampered by injuries on the staff though. Coil, the best arm out of the pen was expected back the first part of May. So maybe we see him next weekend. Wiggins is likely out until tournament time.

I heard he was out for the season. Did DVH confirm no surgery?

Yes. MRI came back clean. Nothing torn. Just a strain. Rehab and rest for a few weeks.

Baseball is a long season. There will inevitably be highs and lows (sans a perfect roster). Arky is having a high vs UTx.

And from what I've seen their pitching has been stellar the first two games. Glad they're getting that out of their system before next weekend.
