Last week was his first road start but he's thrown 9.1 innings as a starter vs UT and A&M (literally last years 2 CWS finalists) and only gave up 3 total runs. That's ridiculous for a true freshman making his first starts especially if you throw out the 1st inning vs Tennessee when they knew the pitches

You guys overreact like crazy. I just said he’s given up more hits and walks (which he almost never did out of the pen) in the first inning or two as a starter.

He’s has done very well keeping runs off the board.
