If someone would have told me Cowan started and only gave up one run in 5 innings , I would have thought we would win going away. They have to start hitting.

No doubt. I think it’s gonna be hard to go to somebody else as long as we’re losing 1-0. We’re gonna have to take the lead or go down by 1 or 2 more. But I don’t think he sees the 6th. This is likely his last inning regardless. If he gets through the 5th, and we tie it or take the lead, I think we see Shores next. If not, no idea.
Although if he gets through the 5th real quick like he just got those 1st 2 outs, he probably will come back out for the 6th.

This is house money now. Cowan has pitched long enough that LSU wins the national title if they win tonight. He’s saving the bullpen. Every arm can be fresh for Saturday if we can fricking score.
