What pisses me off is we use spots on the 25 if we take a transfer, but we don't gain one for losing a guy like this.
Yes, him quitting affects he teammates most of all. But so does that spot on the 25. We have posts everyday worrying about needs vs. spots. The coaches plan all year with the 25 in the background like the Mist out of a Stephen King novel. The players know that's a big factor in their team performance, which affects their individual performance, which affects their earning potential.
The fact that we are forced to waste a much needed spot is what really angers me.
