re: Arik Gilbert to UGA

This has become comical.

IDK about that. Don't know if Emery will ever do anything to remove himself from being a bust here but at least he has talent. I'd have to think someone else will step up at LSU. We've never had weak WRs even all the years under Miles. That's not even looking at the ridiculous freshman class we just signed. Last year's WR class wasn't a bunch of creampuffs either. I'd have to imagine someone from last year's class and at least 1 of the WR's in this incoming freshman class will step up.

Nope they’ll play together. Gilbert will be at WR and Washington at TE.

Well if my memory is correct there was some academic magic to make George Pickens eligible for UGA so I'm sure they'll find a way with Gilbert too.

Not sure that is true but he has to eligible at LSU to even transfer to UGA than he has to meet the requirements of UGA as well. (iirc)

UGA poster in the thread on sec rant is stating some UgA rivals guy says Gilbert is eligible to play this fall.

It depends on what the overall GPA is, he was an early enrollee. I am assuming (and maybe incorrectly) that its pretty bad, meaning take two semesters at LSU. He would in theory have to make up the lost GPA with above average scores, the more classes could be better.

I would imagine he would have to pay out of state tuition as well, not impossible but a very stupid way of handling all this.

He has to be eligible at both school, he isn't eligible at LSU and doesn't appear to be eligible at UGA... but the devil is in the details... what are the courses and what is the GPA?
