This whole AG drama is just a shitshow. First he doesn't have the grades to play at Florida then he comes crawling back to LSU and we read he probably will not qualify to play this season but if he does its LSU. Now within a two week span he is transferring and he is full go when he transfers to Georgia. No grade issues any longer, No sitting out a season. LMAO. Glad this drama queen is gone.

And what's your point? Mine was simply stating that within two weeks Arik is transferring to Georgia and is eligible to play and grades aren't an issue any longer I guess.

I seriously doubt UGA is the end of this young mans college journey. Hope he can get this figured out.

I understand I am contributing to this thread, but why such angst for a player who doesn’t want to be at LSU and as a result would not contribute a thing to LSU? LSU won a national title before him, and has won multiple since UGA has so why is this even garnering a double digit page thread? Move on and forget until someone lights his arse up in a future SEC title game that we beat the shite out of UGA in yet again.

So he goes from failing LSU to some how being eligible? Yeah I’ll believe it when I see it haha

This guy will never play a full season of college football

You can't reason with a mentally ill person.

If a gpa issues [only], which it is not, he will be able to participate in team activities.
I mean, he shouldn't? Transfer portal doesn't = free agency open transfers. Still should sit a year unless they are still milking the covid excuse? Or maybe he can cry racism ala Justin Fields idk
Orgeron somewhat headed that off early on in this drama (a statement many called "throwing him under the bus").

I will be truly shocked if his career amounts to anything.

Good, he is a loser!!!

The road to the National Championship goes through the SEC West. UGA doesn't fare well on that road.
If AG has mental issues, why didn't he just stay home from the get-go? Curious to see how this ends with him. Mental health issues just don't go away by seeing how many SEC teams you can try to play for.

The commissioner should take exception with this case… sit out a year.

Yeah, the mental health waiver doesn't really cover anything if the player isn't academically in good standing.
quote:
When a school requests a waiver because it asserts a student-athlete no longer has the opportunity to participate at his or her previous school, the new school must provide proof that the student-athlete is in good academic standing and meeting progress-toward-degree requirements at the new school and a statement from the previous school’s athletics director indicating whether the student could return to the team; whether the student was dismissed from the team and the date of dismissal; whether the student was in good academic standing at the time of departure; and the reasons the student gave the previous school for the transfer.

At this point, there multiple things wrong and we probably don't know the whole story. Also, if he made statements to LSU, I would bet that isn't going to help either.
Not sure how a scholarship player can even transfer under a scholarship even with a waiver, either way hard to see how he would play in 2021.

So was he on a FB scholly during spring while UGA was talking to him?

His contract I would assume ended at the end of Fall 2020 as he was an EE. Why would LSU extend another scholarship year for someone in the portal?
People said he might have taken some online class in the accelerated schedule in March, not sure about that... but how many hours can one take?
Assuming some of the rumors are true that he had to attend Spring/Summer to get grades, he would still be ineligible at LSU and ineligible as a UGA transfer.
