It won't happen But if LSU beat Bama. Wins the West. Beats Georgia in sec championship game. We are 11-2. I say LSU are in playoffs. He says no way. I can't see why they wouldn't. That means we have improved and won with less talent

This part wouldn't necessarily be true.

But yes, in the alternate universe in which this would happen, we'd make the playoff.

They would need help. A one loss Bama would probably make it over a two loss LSU. Kind of like Ohio State making it last year over Penn State.

No team that loses to a Sunbelt team will make the playoffs. Ever

I have a feeling that losing to Troy would be held against us.

In that scenario, I don’t know that LSU would be able to hop a 1 loss power 5 team.

Now if you have a 2007 type scenario where most of the top 5-7 have two losses, then maybe LSU slides in.

If we won out and won SEC playoff we'd be 11-2, not 13-2.

How can any sane person ever dream or contemplate such a scenario?

I have better chance of Sierra Skye coming over in the next 10 minutes and sitting on my face than LSU does of winning out.

Stick to one week at a time and answer the obvious questions like:

What if we beat Auburn this week?
What if we fire Alleva?
What if we get healthy?
What if we land some OL recruits?

Let that pie in the sky $hite go for now......

Some teams get better on the back end. Inexperienced players and injuries can hurt teams early on. Becoming comfortable with a new offense system can also take a few games.

If that happens, we'll be a playoff team.

I've said it from when the playoffs started.....they will take the first opportunity to leave the SEC out of the playoffs. A two loss team with a loss to Troy is the perfect opportunity.

Losing early in the season is better than late but they'd definitely hold the Troy loss over our head
