Are you cool with playing Bama close, but end up losing?

After all, they are ranked higher than us, and as of the last 3 seasons, we very rarely beat a team that we're not supposed to beat.

We do beat the lesser teams though. I know, we've been extremely lucky to win some of those close games against lesser teams, but a win is a win.

So there can be no moral victory against Bama like there was against Auburn, I guess.

Since when have we regressed to the mentality at LSU that if a team is ranked higher than us in the polls, we should be ok with losing to them?

Is this brand new or something? I sure don't remember reading or hearing that kind of talk five years ago.

Come on Skillet.... that's a dumb question. Anyone who says yes is not a true Tiger fan. This ranks up there with some of my stupid posts.

no.

I hate Bama. I hate Saban.

I am not 'cool' with losing to them, no matter how classy the attempt.

If the LSU team plays well, I will be glad for the guys on the team, regardless of the outcome.

..losing to Saban with more end-of-game Miles-retardation would NOT be acceptable..

I am never cool with losing....if that is the mentality of our team and fans, that it's ok if we lose as long as it's close, then we may as well go ahead and forfeit because we have already lost. Now I am not saying that at times due to our play that we don't deserve to lose but i certainly am not cool with it. NO Matter what the odds going into a game, I always expect to win and I hope our team does the same.

Me neither...Les says that he's working hard to fix our passing game. Bama better watch out boy.

Hey I'm with you buddy.....but is it OK that the "positigers" came back on Monday after the debacle on the Plains and said "Aw come on folks its OK we just lost to the new #1 team in the land by only 1 touchdown"

That happened....FACT

What's the difference in moral victory and calling something what it was?

Just because people don't constantly bitch and moan about how much they hate Les, JJ, Jarrett Lee, Stud, the OL, Chavis, TT, doesn't mean they are thrilled with the fact that their team lost.

I'm more inclined to side with a person who understands that sometimes you lose, especially on the road, especially to a team that may be the best in the country, rather than those who think that means this is a) The end of LSU's season b) The sure sign that we will never win another game and c) That Les Miles is the worst coach in the history of football.

You see it as me "claiming moral victory," I see it as being rational.
