He is underperforming if you are talking about the best OT in the country. But not by much. He is held to a higher standard and if it wasn't for the false starts there wouldn't be any issues. We don't give up sacks and the biggest issue with the Oline is a RS Freshman who is taking time to grow into the position as expected. He's still a first round pick though.

He’s a Top 5 player in the country, regardless of position. He’s the best OT in the country and will play a very long time in the league. These are the facts of the case, & they are indisputable.

I think he has been held to an almost impossible standard by the fanbase. Of course he’s going to fail at times, he’s still just a kid. He’s a damn big kid but still a kid. In about 9 months he will be a very rich kid too.

False start penalties make very little sense to me. Had a coach once make us hold our stance while we had our hands in a fire ant mound. One time he threw a live snake on the field during practice. Anyone on the O line moved they were riding pine. “Unless that @& ball is snapped, you don’t f!$@king move”. I hear it nearly 50 years later every time they call false start. I guess the Neville coaches weren’t as hard asses as our coach.

Yep. I regularly focus on Campbell as soon as I realize it is setting up to be a pass. He’ll be out on an island with the best pass rusher on the defense and he’ll stuff him. He is very good at that. I haven’t seen the road-grader run blocking from him, but he has good mobility, and they are able to pull him to seal off the right side.
So he’s great at pass blocking, very good at pulling, and just fair at hat-on-hat run blocking. As you said, that will make him a ton of money.
