No fricking way Aranda leaves LSU for A&M. Nope. Not happening.

I remember the same stuff being said when rumors started to come out about Chevis going to TAM. No way, why would he leave LSU, TAM is a dumpster fire, why would he go there. Then what happened? Chevis went to TAM. So let’s not say Aranda will not leave. Money talks and bull shite walks.

Besides with O and Aleva in charge don’t be surprised about anything that may or may not happen.

Aranda knows he's appreciated and on top of being the highest paid coordinator he won't make a lateral move, if not downgrade.

Yep, there's no way A&M can pay him more than we are and there's no reason to make a lateral move like that other than money (all other things being equal).

I dont know what Aranda's career goals are but I'm sure he realizes if he sticks around LSU for a little longer and continues to have the success he's having then he will get good head coaching opps.

Chavis left because LSU wouldn’t guarantee his contract if Miles was fired. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the same situation with Aranda’s contract.

A&M has a new coach with a 10 year contract. Stable environment and a pay raise is something to worry about. Hope we do everything we can to keep him.

You realize you’re talking about the team that just paid their coach many million to take a hike and then their new guy 75 million. I’m pretty sure if they wanted someone they can afford to pay him whatever they want

Nobody on A&M’s message board is reporting this. There is nothing. Only a few A&M fans on the sec rant who constantly troll LSU fans and beg LSU to be their rival are reporting this.

Don't want to lose Aranda. But don't really care if he goes. O lucked into having him. If Aranda decides to leave after already being the highest paid DC at a top flight job, it's because he wants to get away from O. At that point, Alleva and O have to live with their own shitty decision making.

My insiders are saying this is won't happen, Aranda is happy and believes consistency/tenure in job role is important to learn, grow, be prepared for next challenge

All the concerns are on the OC side of the house, where quite frankly, its a disaster. This is where the division is starting and O needs to get this under control and move fast or he will lose this team.

We went through this exact same shite around bowl time last year too. And even when NOLA and Advocate broke news that Aranda was retained and signed an extension, a frick ton of people refused to believe it until someone actually made the full contract details public.

So we are going through what we went through last year. And we will next year too. Aranda is one of the best, and the fear of losing him will always be there. And then one day we will lose him probably to the NFL.
However, my level of discomfort about the rumors of aTm pursuing Aranda is pretty miniscule. He's driving a finely tuned Cadillac of a defense here. A move to aTm would be the equivalent of trading that Caddy for a Pinto with an engine in need of full rebuild with missing parts while your head coach is sitting pretty in his Bentley.

*Unrelated side note: still can't believe a ten year contract for Jimbo with such a shite ton of guaranteed money... that was my reasoning for the Bentley comment.
