Giles has not shown up at all. The thing is that he was with the team last year so he should be very familiar with the team. Who is up next to take his spot? We need production. He can go sit the bench!

Takes a big "fan" to rip a player on a message board.

I will admit that I expected more catches out of a Texas Tech transfer but to rip on him and say he can go sit is unnecessary.

He's been steady on punt returns. Be patient, lots of football left to play.

Well read the post.

"he hasn't produced at all. He can go sit on the bench"

Seems pretty close to me.

I get being frustrated but to say have him go sit because he "hasn't shown up at all" is unnecessary and untrue, IMO.

We have used all the WRs I think we're going to use so may as well just deal with it and be patient with Giles. (Not directed to you, just sort of thinking out loud)

Coach O said he needs to produce. He's wearing the #7 and its honor to wear that Jersey according to coach O. That's not ripping on the player.
He's dropping passes and does not separate from the DB's. Quit being a snowflake.

I know he did. And O also said he'll have to step up his game because he gave him the #7.

Not from the head coach. So for O to say he'll need to step up his game, that to me sure sounds like he's not going to be sitting on the bench, no?

For you to start and thread and say "he can sit on the bench" is ripping on him as a player.

Quit being a snowflake.

Can't even have a decent football conversation without some sort of political mudslinging showing up nowadays.

ETA: I have no personal issue with you, I don't even know you, and likewise for you with myself. So this is nothing personal.

Let's just relax and see what happens. Sorry if I came across as a jerk earlier.

Maybe bench him.

But definitely assign him 200 reps on the Jugs machine every day through the season. He has D-minus hands at best. That can be greatly improved with constant reps on the Jugs.

Giles is just a guy.

O should have never given that kid #7.

I’m not watching Ken Giles anymore now that he plays in Toronto.

I don't thnik Ensminger is using him properly. At the Miami game I'm sure he went in there as an X receiver when he should've been playing slot all along. Put him in the slot and give him crossing routes or slants and I think his productivity will go up and his speed can be put to use.

Don't sit the kid, just allow him a couple more chances to display his worth.

we're 4 games in. the kid has shown he cannot consistently get separation. on the few occasions when he does, his hands are inadequate. this is scholarship, division 1, sec football. not 5 yr old association, participation trophy sports. we keep score and no one has to bring "snack". people pour in thousands and coaches make millions to win. much of that is dependent on the performance of the players. by game 5-6, youd better have figured out your lineup. im sure there are others wr's on the roster that can perform better.

He's good, runs good routes, MAYBE it's just that Giles doesn't have the top end speed for separation.

It’s like a slump in baseball. Giles will make a big catch and then his season will take off.

Giles and Dillon are really the only true slot receivers LSU has. He’s getting playing time.
