JJ looks like he's going into a slump. He had like 30yards passing against UGA? WTF

You don't watch much LSU football, do you?

-we know what to do to stop TR
-we know who will be starting @ QB
-we know which RBs are affective against their defense
-we know what plays are against our defense
-miles has a month to formulate a backup plan should those plays be ineffective

Just to name a few

Bama
1. Gump game plan will not change much (they believe it was an execution error, not a LSU disruption.)
2. Forest and co. will get slower during the off time, not faster.
3. whole team just not deep enough to keep up with LSU

Tigers
1. Will use speed this time to isolate the slower backers.
2. Will use speed blitzes against the run offense to stop TR in the backfield.
3. LSU defense depth will wear down the bama offense AGAIN.
4. Special teams help win it again.

(2) PJ Longeran
(3) JJ has played more than 1 game now
(4) Tyrann on punt returns
(5) Our corners have actually seemed to get better as well (hard to believe).

Separate answers on Bama:

(1) Still a one man team (TR)
(2) Still don't have a field goal kicker
(3) LB's are still slow
(4) Can't seem to figure out JJ

All that....looks like another one for the good guys. Just an honest assessment....I think Bama (and their whiny, entitled fan base) are actually pretty nervous about the prospect of losing again. Little Nicky is not going to sleep for 35 days.

This, and LSU learning how to curb stomp people even after falling behind early.

Overall? The team has been better since Nov. 5. The problem has been the slow starts against Arkansas and UGA. JJ had a good game against Arky, but was absolutely atrocious against UGA.

please keep thinking this. Keep thinking JJ always plays like that especially in bowl games. and yes this game is just like a bowl game.....JJ is not a pocket passer, why we forced him to stay in the pocket is mind boggling, we will do PA rollouts on you as well as some 3 step quick hitters...but you believe what you want to believe. JJ will NOT have a game like he did in the georgia dome again.

We've looked damn dominant since the Bama game, but when we've played teams with a pulse we've started out slow.

We were behind at the end of the 1st to Oregon.

We were up 7-0 vs No. Western St atthe end of the 1st.

We were up on Miss St 6-3 at half.

We were up on Kent 7-0 and the endof the 1st.

We were 0-0 with the Vols after one.

I'm thinking we have started out slow most games this season.

Well then it looks JJ is not the the cause of the slow starts, which is what I've been saying. The defense comes out conservative sometimes, especially in playcalling. And nobody on offense was playing well against Georgia, not just JJ.

We are a much better team since Nov. 5th, and no one gets the most out of their teams for bowls than miles does. Bama still worries me like they worried be Nov. 5th, but LSU always exceeds my expectations in bowl games since Miles has been here, so I'm excited (and making sure to temper my expectations so they can be exceeded again ).

Yes, I think the biggest difference is coaches Les laughs and is enjoying this an rubs off on the players their looser and having fun while playing with intensity. Saban on the other hand is uptight and too serious his guys aren't nearly as loose worrying about getting their arse reamed for screwing up.

LSU has shown they can keep it together even when falling behind early. Lesser teams would have let it get out of hand as both the Arkansas and UGA games could have. But LSU was too good to let that happen and made their adjustments.

The team has even more experience playing in big games as they have played an extremely tough schedule.

JJ is getting the vast majority of snaps. He has continued to make good decisions. Our starting QB will be completely up to speed and play the whole. He allows us to run a wide range of plays using his arm and his legs.

Hilliard is now taking over the power back role and is actually a bigger better version of Ware.

Brooks and Loston have gotten enhanced playing time improving depth of the secondary.

The young studs of the DL have gotten more experience.

Mathieu is returning the ball better.

OL and secondary should be healthy by game time.

Healthier means better and the Tigers and Tide should both be at their healthiest come 1/9/12. The LSU Oline was still ailing a bit for the first game and still they got the best of their matchup in the second half of that game. Look for the Tigers to batter Alabama a bit more in the first half of this one before dropping the option and jet sweeps on them. The Tiger tightends and fullbacks give LSU a distinct advantage in the running game IMO. The play-action stuff will be more open as a result of the early running success I expect to take place. This one will not be as close as the first one. The Tigers will empty the bench for the last couple of series.
