Like stated by everyone above. Pittsburgh is the way to go. Great places for food too. Check out Primanti Brothers if any of you get the chance.

Southwest isn't booking for September yet. Although looking at a weekend in August, the flights from New Orleans to Pittsburgh were under $150/one way....
They publish their deals on Tuesdays and usually have "destination cities" that will have big time deals for flights to/from that city.

If you catch the msy-bwi fare on southwest right you can get it for around $200- round trip.....
Rent a car and drive.....you've gotten good advice about hotels.....there aren't a lot and you could end up staying a
Long way away......
One other thing....it's easier to buy a .50 cal machine gun than a beer near the stadium.....no joke!!!!!!!!!
The tailgate and parking situation suck donkeys......they actually share a parking lot with a hospital.....
Rv parking is virtually non-existent....

Also, if flying into Pittsburgh, check Washington, PA for Hotels...its about halfway between Morgantown and Pitt...its only 70 miles from Pittsburgh anyways, but if you want a little closer and cant find anything in Morgantown...
plus, a lot of road teams who are playing WVU stay in Washington, PA...

My wife and I in our 60's left our place just west of Mobile at 4:30 one morning and arrived in MT at 9:30 p.m. Not a bad drive at all with multiple drivers. That's how I intend to get to the game next Fall. Speaking of Fall, the foliage in the mountains will probably be looking good during the drive. New River Gorge is spectacular.

It's about 75 miles from Pittsburgh to Morgantown; I've called on customers there in the past; it's not a long drive. I can get a flight from Denver to Pittsburgh today for under $400.
Fly into Pittsburgh, rent a car, drive to the game, and drive back to Pittsburgh; stay in the Pittsburgh area.

Morgantown is a waste of time. iw ould go through Charleston. I did it 10 times last year and going over on MOnday morning.
Charlestown doesn't get me anywhere close to the right direction to go from Northern Virginia to COlumbus, Ohio for a Buckeye game. That path would turn a 7 hour drive into a lot longer drive.

Well that is definitely true. I thought I responded to someone who was flying to Hunnington. I said if you do that, fyl to Charleston for less and drive.

Why so expensive??
Because not only are you traveling a good distance, but you are also traveling back in time.
Don't bring a cell phone... they may think you are an alien sent from the future and perform tests on you.
