LSU was never blown out, and the defense was never a joke. I'm dumbfounded if you don't think the 2009 team was better than 2008

This. Besides, saying that a win in OT to a rebuilding Arky team is reason to say there hasn't been improvement is ridiculous. We lost to an even worse Arky team in 08.

Why does anybody respond to these idiots anymore? Don't ya'll get tired of trying to educate the mass of retards that post crap like this?

quote:

I want you to pretend for a second you were born and raised a Bama fan. You just went 16-0 in the regular season and 17-1 overall in the SEC the last 2 years. You won every regular season SEC game and demolished a team in the SEC Championship. Here are these LSU fans who keep talking trash about how they are going to win the SEC West next year (and the last 2 years they went 8-8 and 0-2 against you). You also return the heisman trophy winner, your junior QB, and your best receiver. Think about this. Are you a delusional LSU fan and Miles supporter. What makes you think we will be in the West race next year? Honestly ask yourself why you would feel this way other than being a die hard fan. Do you as a Miles supporter have anything that tells you we will be competitive over an 8 game SEC stretch next year? If you are honest the negatigers are the ones who are making sense and you Miles supporters are delusional. If you are a die hard LSU fan and want to believe the best no matter what, then fine that is your choice. Look at it objectively and tell me are the negatigers wrong to assume history will repeat itself.

I liked what I saw against Arkansas from him. He didn't look terrible against Ole Miss in the 2 minute offense until we got down around the 30. He led a touchdown drive then got us down to the 30, but collapsed after that. It looked like he learned from that and put that to work against Arkansas.

14-10 SEC last 3 years including the NC season - I use this now because the 8-8 isn't fair, lol. You have nothing but bullshite. Everyone else sees the record, the play on the field and the mismanagement.

But you will hope and pray, so we'll go 14-0 next year. Gotcha, moron. I've heard enough stupid shite from you.

Are we talking about player progressions or coaching ineptness?

Well he should have known he couldn't take a sack against Ole Miss no matter what stupid play was called. And even if someone is telling him to spike it he has to know you can't with one second left.

I am sitting back in amazement at how this guy is getting a pass simply because he is replacing a good chunk of his coaching staff

You're right there. And the coaches didn't let Jefferson audible this season. Does he not have the mental capacity on the field to be able to? I hope he does. Hopefully they'll be more free with some of the plays they call with a Junior QB next season.

You're into the man on man thing? Doesn't surprise me.

But I'm sure 5-3 and 2-3 games out from an SEC West title would satisfy a loser like you.

Awesome...let's fire everyone.

This board gets worse by the hour.

It's not about firing or hiring

Its about common sense , if u can't see the declining trend over the past 2 year , then you are delusional

I will respond to this thread by saying this.

Number one, I have always been an Alabama fan even when we have been getting our asses kicked the last 17 years. It sucked watching LSU be the powerhouse they were and kick our arse 5 years in a row and never having an opportunity to play in the SEc CG.

That being said, I think we are just lucky that things happened the way they did with coach Saban. He fricked up leaving LSU and we all know that he knows that. I think we are lucky that the timing just happened to place him at Alabama.

The truth is, Nick Saban may just be the best coach in college football and I am not sure that any coach can top what he is doing at Alabama. I think the LSU fans that really know something about football know waht a great coach he is because they witnessed it first hand when he was in Baton Rouge. The man is obsessed with football and winning.

I think anybody that knows anything about coaching and football realizes that he is building a freaking monster in Tuscaloosa that is going to be hard to stop. As an Alabama fan we can take no credit for the success of him or his team. It is their hard work and dedication that has Alabama in the position they are in now and all we can do is enjoy it while it lasts.

I am not sure what he is building can be stopped by anything other than him leaving Alabama.

Just my opinion.

I may be "delusional", but I'm not one who runs from his team cause its been 2 yrs without a national or SEC title.

I'm also not one who hiding behind a screen name while I flame my teams coach with name calling and other insults.

You guys can spread your doom and gloom as much as you want, but I'm not buying it at this time. I still say we can compete with Bama and Florida. Les is 3-5 against them and if that causes anyone to wet their pants, so be it.

Nick is a good coach, but any coach who can lose to ULM at Bama can lose to LSU.

Ok , The Gumps are a little better right now. This is cylical stuff. What coach could LSU have that would have changed that ?

Whoa!

I think you need to slow down for a moment. Bama had legitimate struggles against Tenn, SC, us and Auburn and could have easily lost three of the four. Moreover, 3/4 games were home games for Bama.

E'thing you're saying now is what was being said about UF last year. 2 NC's in the last three years and like 20 starters coming back and . . . crash!

The SEC is a tough conference. And as great as Nick is it was only in OT that you won in '08 and were trailing going into the 4th qtr this year. No gimmes.
