Because the fact that they are freshman is arbitrary. It doesn't help, but it can be done. Has been done. And will be done.

no clue. LSU would be undefeated with TCU's schedule easily and BSU's schedule was a huge joke other than Oregon.

It would give me nightmares thinking of having to go up against those two teams offense with "prevent to win" chavis. Those two qb's would throw 40-45 times and march up and down the field like no one's business. Yardage would be well over 400 for the game.

Redshirt SO QB in his 2nd full year of starting. Not that he wasn't great last year, but maybe part of it is that Boise St. plays in the WAC.

No matter what, Boise State is 14-0 and LSU is 9-4 following an 8-5 year. Boise State looked disciplined throughout the season. I didn't see them or TCU meerkatting before every play from scrimmage. You can keep excusing your hero Crowton, but there is a world of difference between the coaching that is happening at Boise State and LSU right now.

both teams staffs could out coach us.... The really depressing thing is that it looked to me like anybody on Boise St. offensive or defensive line are better than what we have

I agree that there is a real coaching deficit at LSU. Either the coaches are not teaching or the players are not learning. Neither is acceptable.

I have seen a lot of well-coached teams in the last week. Texas Tech and Michigan State both showed good coaching and discipline as did Boise and TCU. I think LSU could beat either team but it would be difficult based on what I saw tonight.

Yes, they are, but I wouldn't cry. I was in TS the on the occasions that Miami (Ohio) and Colorado State bested us. I've witnessed some (football) nightmares. Not a Miles fan here, but it could be worse. Much worse. May we never witness a moronic cancer of the level of Curley "Thank you Brett Favre" Hallman again.

I don't know what the outcome would be, but I would like to see Peterson or Patterson coach LSU's last 2 seasons. I wonder if they would at least duplicate Miles record?

They have played 4 tough games in the last 2 years, TCU 2x and Oregon 2x. Don't make it seem like we wouldn't be 13-1 or 14-0 with their schedule. As far as disciplined goes, they have been penalized just as much as us this year, and more so last year. They have turned the ball over 5 more times than we have over the last 2 years. They are a good team that plays in a very bad conference.

There are no excuses for our offense being ranked so poorly. But don't make it seem like he is incapable of coaching QBs or putting together great offenses when he has done so on multiple occasions.

I agree that we could have duplicated their records with their schedule. I also think that they could beat us in a bowl type scenario (few weeks to prepare). I don't think either team goes undefeated with our schedule. None of it really matters I guess.

Well he has only gotten worse over time at LSU, so much that we are 112th this year. Of course, you talk about his outstanding record at places that didn't face the stiff competition of SEC play every week.

You may be right Ztiger, but I still think LSU has more talent than both of those teams. I would like to see what Patterson or Peterson could do with that high level of talent. It would be interesting.

And part of that problem might very well be kicking off Perilloux. A unique situation that was out of his hands. Especially this year given the season Perilloux had and Crowton's track record with experienced QBs. Our offense was terrible this year and Crowton doesn't deserve to make it to the end of next season if we don't show any improvement by the 2nd or 3rd game. But his track record does show that it will get better.

TCU was way better than you guys in the past. Didn't you see that footage of their 1930's teams.

Kellen Moore would light up LSU. Coaching at Boise>>>>>>>>Coaching at LSU. Boise is so sound and the athletes they have aren't bad at all. I was very impressed by the speed Boise had at the exterior with Young and Pettis.

Better than us as far as talent goes.....NO. Are they better coached than us....YES. Look at the conferences they come from and their schedules. Neither one of those teams would survive in the SEC.

How do any of you know that either of those teams are better than us?

Boise played Oregon in game #1 and no other ranked team until last night.

TCU played Clemson BYU and Utah. Wow.

I don't believe either of those teams lose fewer than 3 games if they play LSU's schedule. Alabama? Florida? Ole Miss? No way. And I don't believe either of them beat Penn State in the slop.

Look at undefeated Cinncinati. Look at Hawaii versus Georgia a few years ago.

MIGHT they be better? Possibly, but until they prove it, I say no way.

I am not a big Les fan at all, but some of you are so blinded that you are beyond objectivity.

Some frosh are better than others. Kellen Moore was money. Sam Bradford, McCoy were great as RS Frosh. Doesn't matter, some kids mature earlier than others. Some have no problem with the playbook, some do.
