Aranda was a great defensive mind but his on field product recently was good but not amazing. Pelini has always put a good product on the field at major programs. As long as we have an aggressive defense and keep the offense going I don’t see this change as a better or worse situation. It’s going to be another fun season.

I like Aranda but he made the D more complicated then it needed to be and the players were confused a lot. You won't see that with Pelini and the D will thrive on natural talent!

Did you not watch the playoffs and see what he did to two of the nations best offenses?

This whole critique of aranda came from this year when we had the best offense in the history of the sport. Think before you speak.

Terrible? Really? He shut down A&M, #4 Georgia, #4 Oklahoma, and #3 Clemson. You don't shut those teams down like that if you are terrible. He might not have been what we expected him to be, but he was not terrible. The ring that will be on his finger soon says otherwise.

They did look lost half of the time this year right up to the snap. I think a lot of that had to do with changing the defense up mid season. Can’t wait to see the defense next year with Pelini back. I bet it will be fun to watch.

This makes me feel better about the hire. If the rant were all in, that would be the kiss of death.

I didn’t say he was bad but the defense did not look good against Texas, A1abama, Auburn, or Ole Miss. The last games were good but the overall season we did not have a great defense. I think it took DA a bit to adjust to the new game tempo with the offense but the defense was still below previous standards.
