As much as I love the yellow, that purple and gold does look bad arse!! With that being said we will never go away from the traditional yellow.
Yes, the old gold looks absolutely fantastic. Would love to see it more often.
And yes, yellow is traditional (since 1956). But you realize that before then, we wore old gold helmets. So old gold pre-dates the yellow.

stay with nike and change to the 2011 pro combats. sans the Michael Johnson gold cleats.

The reason, he simply stated, was Curry’s popularity.
So it has nothing to do with the quality of their product. It simply has to do with out-bidding Nike on an NBA player that many people in life (College and NBA) under-evaluated.

UA's uniforms looks fine but Nike's clothing apparel and cleats/shoes are still superior. As long as we never go Adidas I'll be fine. That shite is garbage.

Nike actually screwed up when attempting to re-sign him.
quote:
The pitch meeting, according to Steph's father Dell, who was present, kicked off with one Nike official accidentally addressing Stephen as "Steph-on," the moniker, of course, of Steve Urkel's alter ego in Family Matters. "I heard some people pronounce his name wrong before," says Dell Curry. "I wasn't surprised. I was surprised that I didn't get a correction."
It got worse from there. A PowerPoint slide featured Kevin Durant's name, presumably left on by accident, presumably residue from repurposed materials. "I stopped paying attention after that," Dell says. Though Dell resolved to "keep a poker face," throughout the entirety of the pitch, the decision to leave Nike was in the works.
In the meeting, according to Dell, there was never a strong indication that Steph would become a signature athlete with Nike. "They have certain tiers of athletes," Dell says. "They have Kobe, LeBron and Durant, who were their three main guys. If he signed back with them, we're on that second tier."

Under Armour is for 2nd rate programs like Auburn, Maryland and UCLA. Nike is tGOAT apparel company and that's where we belong, among our peers, the ELITES of college athletics.
ehh, I was wondering how The Arsenal would shift from Nike to Puma. I have zero complaints. I felt puma made superior cleats to nike, I had no issues with the brand per say, just that puma tends to make tighter fitting clothing.
But the reality was Arsenal had a shite deal with Nike and Puma was willing to pony up while nike wasnt.
So if under armor or adidas want to come with the cash, take it.

completely wrong. The apparel is not even close at this time. UA has made the superior clothing/apparel for some time

Not sure what it's worth now, but Dr. Karam told our class back in 07-08 that LSU's contract with Nike was worth $4 million--$2 million in cash and $2 million in equipment sold to the school at cost. Seemed like a pretty shitty deal.

And all because Nike didn't pronounce currys first name right.

I like under armour apparel but the shoes suck.

Combo of both. Imo, under armor quality has been at least equal to nike for some time.
Do you think the Jordan brand is popular because of the Nike's quality or b/c he's the basketball icon?

Under Armour has made an impressive run, but Nike will always run things. And they have the best commercials ever. lol

I also heard from a good source that Geaux Lay down apparel is making a strong push for the contract.

Nike coaches Polo designs really suck lately ... Oversized logos and Bad color schemes.. Last time I checked we were Purple and Gold (splash some white trim in)
Not saying we need to drop Nike , I wish nike would go back to better designs on there products ... the cheap materials used to make the coaches polos and jackets are over priced to me ...

Under Armour is superior to Nike in style and quality. I think that change would be more than welcome
Weren't South Carolina players saying how shitty UA shoes and cleats were when they switched over from Nike? It was either them or Auburn.
UA stuff, in my experience, is cheaper/doesn't hold up as long as Nike apparel.
