Here is something I posted on rivals..
Lets look at our strengths and weaknesses, and LSU's strengths and weaknesses. Where can we take advantage of them, like we did Michigan last year? Where are they going to be hitting us the hardest?

FIRST OF ALL, HERE ARE SOME OF THE MAIN PLAYERS LSU LOST LAST YEAR.

Will Arnold OG 6'3" 320
Alley Broussard RB 6'0" 249
Glenn Dorsey DT 6'1" 297
Early Doucet WR 6'0" 209
Matt Flynn QB 6'2" 231
Jacob Hester FB 5'10" 226
Ali Highsmith OLB 5'11" 230
Chevis Jackson CB 6'0" 192
Craig Steltz S 6'1" 213
Jonathan Zenon CB 5'11" 191
Keith Zinger TE 6'3" 252

SO WHAT DOES THIS DO TO THEIR TEAM?

Well, they lost their starting QB(Flynn), and are replacing him with a player who has no experience. They are losing the leader of their DL(Dorsey) and the guttiest player on their team in Hester. They are also losing some key players at WR and the OL.. Lets hope they are hurt more than I think. I would love more imput on this.

HERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE PLAYERS WE LOST LAST YEAR...

Well, here are some that were the stand outs. Dexter Jackson, the speedy WR that was on the cover of SI last year, drafted by Tampa Bay. Kevin Richardson, our all time leading rusher, I think is playing in the CFL. Kerry Brown, OL was signed by the redskins. Corey Lynch, our saftey, was drafted by Cinci and was an outstanding player, blocked the field goal against Michigan. Jullian Rouch, our kicker, I think was picked up by the Raiders. We also lost one of the best back up QBs in the league in Trey Elder. Lost our second best WR Hans Batichon(sp?) Lost all four of our secendary, all four were four year starters. We lost our best TE cant think of his name, cought two TD in championship game. Also lost a couple of our other OL, including our captin center Scott Suttle. I am sure we lost some other players but not sure who. We have also lost two DL, one(Tharrington DE) who was academically inelligable, and the other(LSU transfer Washington) left for some reason. Both were starters. We lost A LOT of players. But we still have Armanti and many other good players, but going to be hard to replace all that.

Whew...That may be our strongest core of players to all leave at one time in the history of ASU..

OUR STRENGTHS..
QB: obviously we have AE..Lord help him to be even better this year..

RB: What??? Yep. I think that that K Richardson was good, but we actually have the strongest group of RB's we have ever had. D Moore was no slouch last year, and will be even better this year. Also we have Rod Chism coming in, and VT transfer Radford, who has 4.31 speed..

WR: Not sure yet.. We lost Dexter and Hans, but gained a few more. Devin Radford was also mentioned as being a good WR. We have Josh Johnson, who has started since his freshmen year, and is said to be really good. Coco Hillary, we know he is good too. We have Coleman and a slew of other good WR's..So although we lost a lot, it is possible we could be as good or even better this year.. This is a toss up to me.

LB: We bring back Banks, and Smith(outstanding freshmen, said to be one of the best LB's in the league), and two other starters.

WEAKNESSES:

OL: I dont know too much about our backups, but I do know how good last years starters were. It will be very hard to replace Brown, and Suttle..Expecially Brown, he was big and mobile. Everyone is welcome to fill me in more about our OL though.

DL: I know that at first we were going to have one of our best DL's ever, but we did lose two starters and I am not sure how good our backups will be.

Special Teams: We lost Corey Lynch and our place kicker and punter..big loss here.

Secondary: We have a lot of new talent here, but losing Corey Lynch and the other starters will be huge. Lynch had all the intangibles that make up a leader. Also there is no back up for experience and these guys played together for 4 years.

SO WHERE WILL THEY HIT US THE HARDEST?

I think like Michigan, they will have a rather easy time running the ball on us, and possibly throwing the ball. I just hope our defense can hold up. As seen last year, it is hard for our boys to stand up to big OL for 4 quarters.

I also think they will be able to get great penetration on our OL..We lost a lot here IMO.

I think that our RB's may have a hard time running the ball against their DL. This will allow their secondary go stay back.

SO HOW CAN WE COMPETE WITH THEM?

Well it is a good thing that AE is a mobile QB, because I think he will be running a lot. Lets hope that this will losen up their secondary and let our WR's get open, if not lets hope he can scramble for some yards.
I also think we can use some of our speed to run some screens and get around the outside with the option.

I think that we will be able to get after their QB. He has never had a down in an actual game. I just hope we can pressure him and get him to make some mistakes.

Well there is my opinion, I think the final score will be..

ASU 24, LSU 40.

I think we will score, but won't be able to stop them..I pray I am wrong and man I can't wait until this game!!!

Here is to ASU stunning the world again, and this time everyone will be watching!!!

that is a good prediction although I dont believe yall will score 24 our defense is pretty solid. You make the point we lose dorsey, but we gain RJF who in time could be as good or better than dorsey. We'll see come saturday.

If Hatch is named starter he has played in an actual game before...

BNG;
I saw this when you posted on rivals. I think it is a good assesment of our weaknesses and strengths. As you mentioned, we lost a lot all at once and I believe the remaining guys will step-up and I'm anxious to see how they do.

Good work!

you honestly think your D-line will give LSU's O line any trouble at all?

Well I dont think we will push them around, but I think we are quick and may get around them...I hope we have success, but I doubt we will be in the backfield too much

The left side of our offensive line averages 350 lbs...You may be quick, but you better have some endurance cause it's a long way around them...

Umm... did you watch the Va. Tech game at the first of last year? When their starting QB got smashed they thought just throwing a mobile T. Taylor in the game would solve all their problems Did you see how that turned out for them.

Alley was the fastest guy on the field last year. Too fast to see him on the field. Hell, too fast to see him in the stadium.

impressive evaluations. at least you're not one of the dillusional appy state fans in really believing that you WILL beat lsu. just be warned, and you may already understand this. you are about to play an SEC team, not an overated, overhyped big 10 team. heads sometimes roll in this conference. run your quarterback around all you want. your lines will not hold up. your team will not hold up. as already mentioned, the big house in ann arbor is nothing. i don't even have to go there to know this. it could get ugly, because our quarterbacks need experience and we'll probably be slingin it and poundin it till the clock runs out. other than on the field, i hope your team has a great experience in br. can't wait for the game either.

Good evaluation.

I love pulling for underdogs, sadly I cannot do this Saturday. I hope your guys play a hard fought game.

Our strengths:
O-line - possibly best in country
D-line - see above
WRs - one of the best groups we've had
RBs - talent, talent, talent

Neutral:
LBs

Weaknesses:
QB - obviously. inexperienced.
CBs - talented, but inexperienced.

Here's to a good game Saturday!
