As a kid I would wonder why an undefeated Bama team coached by the Bear wouldn't be #1?

Luckily the BCS finally took it out of the hands of bias reporters! Let me be clear the BCS made the SEC! As time went on we noticed the computer polls were showing how they could be bias to the creator of the algorithms. It was wild to see the poll would, for the most part, reflect the rest of the other polls except we see a team no one else would place in the top 5. Do a little research and you would have discovered, time after time, the guy was coming from his particular school placed into the top 5. This proves there is no such thing as aware computers! It's only what the owner puts in his algorithms! It became so bad these egotistical software writers stopped publishing where they went to college and their background.

Then BCS became so corrupted their course ran out! Now we're back to the AP again! For what! Here we go again. Oregon is sitting at #1 for what! They only play 2 teams in the top 20 and they barely beat #2 Ohio St by 2 pts. They play Illinois coming up. But why #1? AP just cares about eyeballs that's it! Look at TN jumping 4 it's up over LSU! TN lost to AR and LSU killed them at AR home? Why? AP at their old tricks...again!

Thank goodness for the playoffs.

Just win. It will all shake out in the playoffs. Rankings, especially AP ones, mean little

Lot of the AP voters hate BK because he left Notre Dame. Especially from the Northeast and Midwest

It doesn't matter where Oregon is ranked right now. If they win the Big 10 championship they'll be a top 4 team. If not, then it will all be sorted out by the CFP committee.

The only weird ranking in the AP, is maybe Texas staying above Miami and Tenn jumping Clemson and LSU. But once again, it will all be sorted out soon.

If LSU wins next Saturday at aggy field they will jump Tenn again.

So says you! My experience is that they are not to be trusted! Just like all media today. Never trust a word!

No offense, but who in the hell would you put #1? I guess you could say UGA, but who cares if UGA is #1 or Oregon? Oregon still beat Ohio St. Wins still have to mean something.

most the AP voters don’t even vote themselves then the ones that do don’t actually watch the games. It is completely biased bullshite pole they lost all credibility over the years.

A lot of voters that are basing opinions off of preseason biases that aren’t real and mostly non-objective or public perception. LSU just needs to keep the same sense of urgency and win. It’ll all take care of itself.

Not the worst thing to be under the radar right now

In 2 weeks when the first CFP poll is released, the AP poll won’t matter the rest of the year.

Why do some people continue to care about the AP rankings?

I can obviously see that LSU is playing much better football but I think a win at A&M is something the voters want to see. I think while beating OM was great that they know the home field advantage is a thing so it's almost like that win is being used against us. Otherwise why did Tennessee jump us and clemson.

I think it's ridiculous that LSU gets penalized for the "should have lost" game to South Carolina. Especially when every team in the country has a "they should have lost" game.

because they haven't really watched bama play, they just vote on the name and tenn beat the name.....so they are the shiny toy right now.

Had the voters been watching bama, they would know they they got absolutely lucky to beat SC at home last week, have a porous defense and a soft OL, and a QB that easily gets rattled with pressure and isn't that good of a passer anyway.
