Does anyone know where I can find a room or by any chance have an extra place to stay? I have 2 tickets to the game but have not been able to find a room since they announced 2:30 kickoff and I really want to go but its looking like I may not be able to.

Meridian, roughly 1.5 - 2 hrs from Tuscaloosa iirc. Just need someone to DD for post game travel. We’ve done it many times.

Good Luck. I tried booking a room in September and the closest hotel I could find was in the Birmingham area

We are staying at an Airbnb 18 miles from the stadium $350 per night for two nights (3 bed 1 1/2 bath). Uber should be around 60 bucks one way per game day rates that we researched.

In 2011, I got tix the week of the game and couldn’t find a hotel so we drove up that morning and back after the game. Wasn’t that bad at all. About 4 hours from Nola. If you in Laffy, get a place in Jackson or Meridian.

Is there any towns closer to Lafayette rather than Birmingham going an hour past the stadium? Im thinking to maybe park there then just head back to New Orleans after the game for the saints in sunday

This is one of the weirdest threads ever.
We are staying in Birmingham and taking the southern sports shuttle. Leaves downtown Birmingham at 9:30 AM Saturday and the guy said it takes about an hour and 5 minutes to get to the stadium.

In 2011 we stayed in Hoover and drove back and forth. Cheaper and easier.

It is easier to stay in Meridian than Birmingham/Hoover. I have stayed in both places many, many times. The difference is it takes a shorter amount of time to get back to Meridian after the game as compared to Bham area.

Meridian is 1 hour, 20 minutes from the UA campus. The roads to Bham after the game are a nightmare as most bama fans come to Tuscaloosa from the east and not from the SW where Meridian is.

Book the Hampton Inn Meridian...still available Fri and Sat night, not far, great place to stay.
I've already got dinner reservations at Chili's (Frontage Rd/I-20) for Friday night.
