I believe my first game was the game they filmed crowd shots of everybody’s all American.
Since then, I’ve been to countless, with 97 Florida and 2019 OU and 2020 Clemson being my favorites.

1970 LSU 31, Baylor 10
I was eight years old and watched the game from same season tickets that I currently own.

1976 6-6 Tie with Nebraska. We should have won. Missed a FG.

The first one where I remember everything.
2000 bama vs lsu.
The eye of the tiger stole my heart. The field was so green and perfect. This was the replay game. Changed my life forever

1990 ole miss lsu. My dad and I went with a huge ole miss fan and his son. Even though lsu lost, Bo Davis put me and the guys son on his shoulders and took us in the locker room. Still can see the confederate flags flying in the upper deck.

Colorado in 1974, went for my 15th birthday. LSU won 42-14 and did not complete a pass. (Ran the lovely VEER offense) I was hoarse for 3 days, and was obsessed even though I eventually graduated from Troy, I will always love my Tigers.

1983 versus Washington. Largest crowd before the East expansion in 2000.
I was 6. Southwest Endzone. Same seats my family sits in today.

‘76 Season Opener vs #1 Nebraska
Vince Ferragamo at QB
In North Endzone Student Section Near “Big Red”, the guy who would chant “Tiger Bait Tiger Bait Tiger Bait” loudly, over and over the whole game…
Death Valley In All Its Glory and Delerium At Night Before the Upper Decks…the cozy 60-something thousand
And what I remember, no matter the opponent, the after game exit down the ramps in the student section were the echoes of “go to hell ole miss go to hell” and “bring on Bama”…those are the far away echoes I yearn to hear that loudly and lustily just one more time
Great to be a tiger

1967. Tigers lost 7-6 to Alabama, with the difference being a missed PAT by Roy Hurd. A field goal attempt on the last play also failed. That LSU team did go on to beat an undefeated Wyoming team and Jim Kiick in the Sugar Bowl. I enjoyed that game in the end zone of old Tulane stadium.

Yep it was the 04 Oregon State rain delay game. Streakers galore and Serna forgot how to kick.
