I don't think you pay any money when it is a home-home series. Washington has to come back to LSU.

They come to Baton Rouge in 2012 so is it considered a home and home? The reason I ask is this going to be the longest a LSU team has ever traveled and the most expensive game ever in regards to travel costs.

This is my point. How are we not loosing money if you do not get paid on a home and home? I understand money is not an issue I am just curious as to how this works?

Win or lose money, this game is worth it. The team and fans are excited about making a trip to an unusual area of the country. LSU will get an easy win over a BSC school. LSU will get much needed west coach media ded exposure early in the season.
This is the kind of stuff that real football teams do. Tenn did it recently with UCLA. USC and Ohio St. are doing it this year.

a lot of folks complain about our 00C schedule but it is very difficult to arrange for a real good OOC team. It seems to be getting easier and I don't know why. Money is the usual culprit. LSU makes millions off of each game in Tiger Stadium and a home and home with another school that makes millions brings in substantially less revenue for both schools. Before the football program had to bankroll so many female schollies, programs could schedule easier w/o straining the budget. VaTech schedules one or two per year, but they need recognition more and it probably helps them in recruiting. Florida State used to do this until they got mega-big.

I'm sure ticket sales help that negate some of the costs....

LSU football bake sales, and selling candy bars.
