Absolutely and you also have to remember we are the top 4 national seed, not them. So you can play your game or plays theres. I would assume PM will play ours and pitch Nola game 1.

I mean, it isn't the end of the world or even a "bad" decision to start Nola game 1. I guess I have visions/fears of Eades turning all red faced and allowing 4 runs in 1.2 innings and then us using up our whole bullpen in game 2 leaving us fricked for game 3 if we even get there.

I guess the better question is probably Eades vs. Glenn for game 2.

Coastal Carolina picked up 3 runs off of Gray early in the game last Friday. If LSU can put together a good inning, it may be all we need if Nola is dealing.

I really wouldn't consider scoring 8 runs per game in the regional ice cold dude...chillax

More luck than anything else. Defensive miscues, infield singles, and two legit hits led to 3 runs. Two legitimate hits should lead to 1 run max. Also, he pulled his shite together and went a CG striking out 11 while walking only 1.

Also, if going by that logic, SHSU took a big shite on Nola.

I didn't say they "took a big shite" on Gray. I pointed out that LSU has the ability to put together an inning against him just like Coastal did (OU will commit defensive miscues this weekend). If Nola is pitching like he's capable of, LSU may only need a few runs.

OU doesnt swing the bats very well. So id argue that they may struggle to hit nola more than we will gray.

If Gray shuts us down and we use up Nola, then we're depending on Eades in an elimination game. That didn't fare well last year.

We did not use our ace in Game 1 last year. Only in Game 2 to close things out, and it just didn't work out that way. I'm sure we'll try this again.

If you win Game 1 I throw Glenn game 2.

Meh. SEC was kinda weak this year.

Would love to know what you would call the Big 12 this year then.

I guess I should have said the SEC is weaker than it usually is, but not weak.

No doubt it's better than the Big 12, but the Big 12 isn't as far behind as you think talent-wise.

Nola, Glenn then Eades. If Eades struggles we can always use Bonvillain, Rumbelow, Boojwah and Cotton to get it done. I anticipate Oklahoma going 2 and Q though. LSU lights up "ace pitching" in the post season. I don't think we destroy Oklahoma in game one, but LSU will get it done.
My fearless prediction: JaCoCo goes yahtzee in game one to give LSU the lead late in the game.

If we go with the fricking lineup where there's a stretch of Ross, Edward, Stevenson, Laird, and Jones in a row, then Gray might just get a CG shutout.

We better hope McMullen is back and we better hope Mainieri doesn't fall in love with Edward or Laird too much.

1. 99% Edward wouldn't start at DH against a RHP - have you watched this season?

and Jones in a row

2. Why did you include Jacoby in this statement? Are you implying that a near .300 hitter is an automatic out or something?

I'm saying he can't hit an elite breaking ball. he's an automatic out against top competition at times.
