Anyone else surprised to see LSU in the 4 team playoff picture on so many shows?

LSU will get one chance at Alabama and until LSU takes down Alabama we do not make the playoffs.

Remember that "toughest schedule in the country" detriment? Well, that has surfaced in a beneficial way as we have beat some quality opponents. We appear good...at the moment.
I think LSU has not shown playoff caliber football yet. The potential is there now but I liked our positioning better as the underdog.
Our schedule is beneficial if we handle it.

So, if LSU’s only loss was to Bama, how could they leave LSU out? Bama got in in last year after losing to Auburn. I’m not saying this is what I think will happen, but if we only lose one game with this schedule, we should be in the playoffs.

this 24 hour news cycle creates really stupid stuff. used to be editors had selections to make on what's newsworthy or not. now, EVERYTHING will end up somewhere, even social media and blogs, and some idiots call it "news".
it's difficult to "cull" the massive quantities of bull shite, fluff and downright fabrications. it takes an intelligent person that researches the big stuff to separate real news from bull shite.
this, however, is easy to ID as fluff. "my editor made me come up with something" bull shite. we are WAY too early to narrow the playoff picture to anything smaller than it was in july.

Because they are Bama and we're not. Once we get several consecutive championships under our belt maybe we can demand equal treatment. Until then, Bama gets two shots at the championship and everybody else in the SEC West only gets one.
