This sounds like it'll have to do. Also, I'm on a tight budget and can't stay more than a game or two, so if I could stay longer I would. but not much longer. I've got a life.

Edit: because I was a little harsh.
Just go and have fun, quit worrying. You're welcome to tailgate with us when we set up shop.

other than this being the rant, I'm not quite sure why you're catching so much grief over considering tail gate logistics, it's a huge part of LSU sports, have fun

Is there any sort of coordinated effort to designate a tailgate area for LSU fans? Nowhere but nowhere to tailgate, from all the reports I've read. AND the cops will be "cracking down"? Ugh. No thanks.

well, to be fair, we spent more time tailgating than watching baseball. Even though we watched every minute of the LSU games we were there for.

This would have gone-over a lot better in the Omaha Police Are Cracking Down On Beer thread.

If this is a dealbreaker for you, you probably didn't need to be going in the first place.

No CWS because if that? Sounds like somebody's got a little bit of a drinking problem.

I would say if you are so concerened about drinking that you wouldn't come to Omaha. Drink in the afternoon at a bar then walk (if its close enough) or catch a cab to the game, if you want to drink after get another cap or walk back to the bar.

You get to see LSU baseball play and drink.

I understand why some can be angry at public servants and their rediculous public statements. It seems every time we hear one of these PSAs before LSU comes to town (Seattle, College Station, etc), it's never quite as bad as they want you to think it'll be.

Like any town, besides BR, don't be a drunk dick and you can get away with almost anything. Use a cup and don't give probable cause and they will be cool. So, no 'frick you, assface' or 'eat dick, you bitch' and you know the basics of respectful fun, you will probably be fine. Get as shitfaced as you want, just don't act like it.

All that said, we got pretty rowdy last time (2000) and didn't get a second look. Hope everybody has a great time and doesn't go to jail!!!

I'm going to see quality college basketball, not to feed narcissistic exhibitionistic tendencies.
