I hate to say but who Mikes hires might be irrelevant. I don't know of any defensive coordinator that could change the head coaches basic flaws.

Because the best DC home run hire was not made within 24 hrs of losing Chief?
I think Les like leaking all this crap just to screw with everyone. Almost all his coordinator hires have been this way. Very rarely do people know until right at the end.

What's ridiculous is that it sounded like we had a home run hire in CP With coach O. Now CP has taken his name out and Miles is interviewing coaches who don't have a great track record of good defenses. That's what has me worried.

miles is betting his job on this hire.. If we hire someone who comes in and can't have the defense performing at the same level Chavis had it or better, Miles is gone in 2 years. We simply can't afford any drop off in defensive production with no end of our QB situation in sight. So we either 1) make a good hire who is at worst an equal to Chavis or 2) make a bad hire, tough it out for 2 years, and move on to the next era for LSU football and hopefully get back to competing for championships.
This is why im not worried hopefully my dream can finally Come true.
