Announcers were the same way. Said it was probably low hit saw it on replay said was probably ok.

What I found really weird is they brought on the guy who is the officiating tv commentator and he says,” it’s illegal to hit below the knee,” right after they had shown multiple times that the hit was on the hip, and not one of the tv announcers says a word.
Shouldn’t they have shown the hit and said,” that’s nowhere near the knee!”

Yes.....but the refs thought Fulton was going to take it to the house and give LSU a 21 point spread....
So the did what they had to do to preserve the 14 point spread for Vegas....
Also.....49 – 28 would have given the pollsters a good reason to put LSU at #1 or #2....
