Really doesn’t even like lsu baseball. Kid was insane all night and he gets an extra day this week. Now the sweep is on as well.

What a dumb take.

Most trust CJJ, just worried about how it will affect the long season/post season. It's a legit thing to be concerned about considering the rise of TJ surgery

A sweep in.fricking April means nothing if you lose your ace or he's not as effective for a month

Bitching in April while pretending to know more than a National Championship coach is the meaning of nothing.

The fast pace especially in the late innings or this doesn’t happen. Not so much hot cold, hot cold.

People forget how recent a development pitch count limits are.

I have zero problem with letting a kid deal when he is dealing.

Nothing wrong with throwing pitches for a pitcher.

Fast pace for sure. Had LSU batted around a couple times or just long innings, then JJ may have done something different.

There’s no known correlation between pitch count and Tommy John surgery. And nothing that says 100 pitches is some magic number.

It is a legit concern. 135 is a lot of work. I’d imagine more than he had pitched ever. Adrenaline and competitiveness is great for a young man, but it can hide some stuff.

Maybe in a game 3 situation in playoffs, but I disagree with it here, you have two good options out of the pen. But even without those relievers, it is a touch sketchy.

Odds say he will be fine and I am sure he will. But most drunk drivers arrive home safely, doesn’t make it a good practice.

no. It doesn’t. Having a healthy dominant Friday guy means so much more.

Game was moving quickly, so he wasn't getting cold, and he was seemingly getting stronger as he went on.

You can't just look at pitch counts. There are other, very important, variables.

Ben McDonald threw 18 CG in 2 years at LSU. I'm sure he pitched over 135 pitches several times during those games and ended up being just fine. I have no concern at all, especially since, most likely, it won't happen again this year. To be honest, I wouldn't have a concern even if he did do it again.
