For those at the game, anyone know what was up with that army chopper's super low flyover? That shite was weird. Hopefully someone here has the connections.

Just for an idea of what it looked like...

Does anyone know if it was lower than the helicopter that hovered over the box to take pictures before the first game in 09?

Scared the shite out of me.

I was like holy shite that helicopter is flying low and then it went over the stadium and I saw what it was.

This one was definitely lower than the helicopter back in '09.

It was definitely a military helicopter and was low as hell. Had to be lower than the one in '09

Much lower tonight. Maybe 750 feet tonight.

I don't really remember how low that one was.

I remember it was low enough you could feel the wind from it.

All you heard was the unmistakable sound of a big arse helicopter, and sure enough, one of the massive military choppers flew just over the roof of the stadium, going pretty slowly, it definitely didn't jet out of there quickly. All it did was fly over first base then as it reached the flags in center it lifted up and turned away in front of Tiger Stadium. Crowd cheered as it flew over, but it was definitely low enough for you to see in detail the entire chopper. Easily under 800 feet.

It was one of those moments where no explanation you can think of makes sense. It was just weird. The public address announcer didn't say anything, so I figured they had no idea about it either. I highly doubt whoever was flying it was supposed to be doing whatever the hell they were doing.

looked like a national guard black hawk, and was REALLY low, few hundred feet max.

that bastard flew right over our suite and scared the living shite out of us. probably the most bizarre experience of my life.

I figured it was Army/National Guard, and I've seen low flyovers, but this was lower than all. Very very weird.

The only thing that makes me think it was planned was the fact that it was perfectly timed with the end of the lasorda video.

Probably the same for me as well. I just can't think of one logical explanation for it being so low and it flew over so late in the game. I'd be willing to guess LSU is wondering the same thing as us.

I kinda thought that at first, but then why would they flyover after a Lasorda video about playing for the team and not yourself, and leave the National Anthem quiet?

I think this is the answer .

I just think it was some pilot who was bored on a training mission or something, and decided to cause some commotion at Alex Box.

I'm sure someone's superior is pissed at them right now for fricking around in a military chopper.
