Good post, O was my third choice too. Only positive bout him was he is 100% Louisiana hombre so why not after Herman & Fisher were using us ( LSU ) Would be really ironic if he were to win more than Les or Nick.

The thing about O is that he'll never leave, unless forced to do so. I may not be a Louisiana native, but when I hear O say he'll build a championship program based on players from Louisiana, I believe it. Big contrast to Saban, who was a threat to leave every year before he eventually did for the NFL.

A very small minority of the people who criticized the hire “hated” Orgeron. A whole bunch of the contingent who were cheerleading for him did so because “he one of us” and “We comin”. In other words, they knew absolutely nothing but were in love with the idea that da bayou boy done good. For those people, it was pure blind luck. Orgeron needs to prove that he belongs by overcoming one of the roadblocks that his predecessor couldn’t. Sorry but this is a multimillion dollar organization. We don’t have time to screw around with sentimentality.

Like previous posters; I thought Alleva did a crappy job and we took the “TJ Maxx” because he was cheap and would keep the ship from sinking.

The Canada debacle and the Troy loss made me think Aranda would be our next HC.

He’s corrected mistakes, made some smart hires, paid his coaches to keep them here and recruited well.

A win over Bama will solidify him long term, but also see him building the program similarly as Dabo has to Clemson. The future is bright, but can we continue this success when Burrow leaves?

Gotta be thinking Atlanta or bust this year!
